The episode opens with Karthik struggling to focus during his recording session. Frustrated, he cancels it midway. Just then, his assistant informs him that his wife has come to meet him. Karthik instructs the assistant to tell Lakshmi he is busy recording.
Unaware of this, Lakshmi arrives with a bouquet of flowers, hoping to surprise him. But when the assistant repeats that Karthik is busy, she decides to step inside—only to find him free. Heartbroken, Lakshmi realizes he deliberately lied to her.
Upset, Lakshmi returns home and almost slips, but Sanjana catches her in time. Concerned, she asks what happened. Lakshmi confides that Karthik’s behavior has changed ever since she returned from the hospital, especially when it comes to conversations about children. Seizing the opportunity, Sanjana slyly hints that perhaps Karthik has lost interest in her. Lakshmi defends her husband, but Sanjana continues to manipulate her, warning that she must give more attention to Karthik before she loses him. Hesitantly, Lakshmi agrees, while Sanjana smirks to herself.
That night, when Karthik enters their room, he finds Lakshmi seemingly asleep. He lies beside her, only to discover it’s just a pillow. Lakshmi switches on the light and confronts him, asking why he always waits for her to fall asleep before coming to bed. She questions his growing distance and asks if she has done something wrong. Karthik brushes it off, but Lakshmi insists he is avoiding her and refusing to talk about children.
Breaking down, Lakshmi pleads with him, asking if he no longer loves her. She demands to know why he has changed and why he keeps dodging the subject of parenthood. Karthik tries to walk away, but Lakshmi blocks him, desperate for the truth. Finally, he confesses that their dreams have shattered—they cannot become parents. Shocked, Lakshmi begs him to stop joking, but Karthik insists it is true. She is devastated, believing she can never become a mother.
Seeing her pain, Karthik quickly takes the blame, telling her the issue lies with him—his medical reports show that he cannot father a child. Lakshmi hugs him tightly, reassuring him: “I only need you. We’ll face this together, just like we’ve faced everything else.”
Meanwhile, Gayatri is shown bribing a doctor for lying to Karthik that Lakshmi cannot conceive. The doctor warns her to ensure the couple never consult anyone else, or the truth will be exposed. Gayatri confidently replies that she will separate them before that happens.
Later, Lakshmi lifts Karthik’s mood with a surprise terrace movie night. Smiling, she tells him, “Problems only make our bond stronger. So, tell me, which movie shall we watch?” As she sets up the laptop, Karthik is touched by her efforts. They sit together, watching the film, finding comfort in each other’s company.
