Mangal Lakshmi Today Episode 28 July 2025
The episode begins with Kapil at the dining table, telling Pratima it seems Mangal left early in the morning without disturbing anyone. He says he messaged her, but she hasn’t responded—assuming she must be busy with Akshat. Kapil regrets not waking up to drop her home. Pratima corrects him, saying Mangal actually left during the night. Surprised, Kapil asks why she didn’t tell him. Pratima explains that she didn’t know herself and only found out from the guard. Concerned, Kapil cancels his meeting and decides to visit Mangal. Worried that Mangal might reveal Pratima knew about her leaving, Pratima offers to accompany him.
Meanwhile, the doctor checks Mangal and informs Adit that she is stable. He mentions her blood samples have been sent for testing and gives her an injection. At that moment, Kapil and Pratima arrive and are shocked to see Mangal unconscious. Adit stops Kapil and explains that Mangal is unwell. Kusum says Mangal hadn’t woken up, so they called the doctor. As she regains consciousness, Kapil, with Adit’s permission, approaches her. Kusum gently asks how she feels, and Mangal replies, “Fine.” The doctor then receives a call from the lab and informs everyone that Mangal had consumed a high dose of sleeping pills, which caused her dizziness and drowsiness. He advises them to keep her hydrated and leaves.
Adit questions Mangal about the sleeping pills, asking why she took them when she seemed fine and happy at the party. Mangal is taken aback and asks how he knows. Adit reveals that Akshat had fallen ill, and when he couldn’t reach her, he went to the party but was stopped and pushed out by the guards. Kapil is outraged and questions how the guards could treat Adit that way. Pratima tries to justify their behavior, suggesting the guards might have been cautious since Adit had caused a scene before. Kusum then sends Akshat to have breakfast.
Kapil asks Mangal if she regularly takes sleeping pills. Mangal denies it and explains that she felt dizzy the night before, and Pratima had given her a tablet, after which she felt drowsy and left to go home to Akshat. This raises suspicion in Sowmya, who questions Pratima’s intentions. Kapil confronts Pratima directly. She insists it was a genuine mistake and that she didn’t do it deliberately. Suddenly, they realize Mangal is no longer in bed.
Elsewhere, Mangal checks on Akshat and asks how he’s feeling. He says he’s fine and requests to watch TV for a while. Kapil apologizes to her on behalf of his mother and asks why she didn’t wake him before leaving. Mangal says she didn’t want to disturb him.
Sowmya privately confronts Pratima, saying she isn’t naive and knows the sleeping pill incident was intentional.
Kapil tells Mangal that not dropping her home was his mistake and promises it won’t happen again. Mangal says she’s simply relieved that Akshat’s fever has subsided.
As Pratima prepares to leave, Kusum stops her. She says she’s unsure whether the act was deliberate or not but reminds Pratima that Mangal is now part of their family as a daughter-in-law. She questions how Pratima could let Mangal leave the house after taking a sleeping pill and urges her to try being a better mother-in-law. Pratima fires back, reminding Kusum how she had once accused Mangal of killing her father and thrown her out for six months. She tells Kusum to reflect on her own actions before judging others and walks away.
Later, Akshat struggles to reach for his medicine on a shelf. Kapil helps him and hands it over. Akshat thanks him and apologizes for his past behavior, admitting he said some hurtful things. Kapil forgives him and tells him they’re buddies who can share anything.
Pratima then visits Mangal and gives her a shagun ki thaal, asking her to observe the Teej fast for Kapil. Mangal agrees. Adit, who is on a phone call nearby, doesn’t overhear the conversation.
Mangal receives a call from her staff informing her that Kapil has canceled her meeting with the Ghaziabad client. The staff member asks if he should reschedule, but Mangal says it’s not necessary—she’ll go herself. He agrees.
Meanwhile, Adit finishes his call and says he’ll also be attending the Ghaziabad meeting on time.
