The episode begins with Shanaya questioning Pushpa, asking, “How can you promise that I will divorce Chirag after six months?” Pushpa explains that Shanaya is only punishing herself in her attempt to punish Chirag and reminds her that neither of them truly likes the other. However, Shanaya insists that it is her choice and refuses to agree to a divorce. Determined to seek revenge, she declares that the matter has now become a battle between her and Pushpa. Pushpa urges her not to destroy the faith she has placed in her and not to prove the chawl residents right. Shanaya responds that Pushpa can never understand her pain unless she becomes her and experiences the hurt Chirag caused. She then tells Pushpa to focus on her family and says that she no longer needs to think about her.
Elsewhere, Diwan refuses to help Dilip finance his business venture. Undeterred, Dilip declares that he is back in the race and will soon silence everyone with his success. Meanwhile, Bapodhara searches for his spectacles and finds Roshan wearing them. He playfully scolds Roshan, saying that he uses the glasses to improve his eyesight, not as a fashion accessory. Their lighthearted banter brings smiles all around, but Manva becomes emotional while watching them. Susheela sends Rohan outside to play, and she and Bapodhara comfort Manva, assuring her that she will get Chirag back after six months because he can never truly love Shanaya. Manva reluctantly agrees.
Later, Pushpa serves food to Chirag, but Shanaya snatches his plate and asks him to start planning their honeymoon. Pushpa questions her behavior, but Shanaya points out that they are married and therefore should go on a trip together. She asks Chirag for his credit card and sarcastically remarks that she understands the family may not be used to credit cards, but she is capable of planning the trip herself. The situation quickly escalates when Chirag grabs her hair, prompting Shanaya to do the same. The family rushes in and separates them. Shortly afterward, Bapodhara arrives and takes Manva’s medical card from Pushpa.
Meanwhile, Santosh informs Kadambari that he ensured Diwan would refuse to lend money to Dilip and also made sure Dilip could not secure funds from any other source. Kadambari is pleased and says that once Dilip faces repeated humiliation and financial setbacks, the darker side of his personality will emerge. She believes this will work in their favor, as they can then use him against Pushpa and her family.
Back at home, Shanaya places a wedding photograph of herself and Chirag in the hall. Pushpa questions her motive, but Shanaya says that Pushpa should perform the traditional rituals meant for her daughter-in-law. Pushpa firmly tells her that she can never replace Prarthana in Chirag’s heart. Shanaya replies that she has no desire to take that place and walks away. Soon after, Joshipura calls Pushpa and informs her that Kadambari’s case has been reopened. Pushpa immediately says they must find out the reason behind the reopening and ensure that Kadambari is not released from jail.
At work, Manva’s colleagues mock her failed wedding and the fact that she never got married. Their comments deeply upset her. Elsewhere, the ACP hands Chirag a suspension letter. Shocked, Chirag asks for an explanation. The ACP informs him that Shantanu has filed a complaint accusing him of outraging a woman’s modesty. Left with no choice, Chirag walks away carrying the suspension letter.
Later, Pushpa and the family discuss Shanaya’s plans to organize a Muh Dikhai ceremony and lament how the family has become the subject of ridicule. Just then, Chirag returns to the chawl and finds Manva in tears. Concerned, he asks why she did not go to work. Manva confronts him, asking why he married Shanaya. She explains that she only met her former boyfriend to make it clear that she could never return to him, yet Chirag chose to punish her through his actions. Chirag reassures her that he and Shanaya will divorce after six months and asks her not to worry. However, Manva questions what will happen if he changes his mind. She then declares that she will continue living in the chawl so that he is forced to witness her pain every single day.
