The episode begins with Dil’s uncle opening the cupboard, but a sudden cat’s meow distracts him.
He rushes out to chase the cat, unknowingly sparing Dil, who hides inside and exhales in relief. Later, her aunt opens the cupboard and finds Dil gasping for air. She immediately gives her an inhaler, helping her recover.
Meanwhile, Dil’s uncle strikes a shady deal with a local man named Mandalivale, offering Dil’s singing services in exchange for ₹15,000.
Later, Dil sings while bathing.
Nandini arrives, and Dil hands her an envelope, calling it her “return gift” for Nandini’s promise to reveal her father’s identity. She claims it contains the house papers. Nandini opens it and realizes the documents are fake. Although disappointed, she hides her emotions to avoid hurting Dil.
Elsewhere, Dil’s uncle meets a lawyer and demands forged house papers that look even more authentic than the originals. When the lawyer asks for the real documents, he smugly confirms he has them—and then burns them.
Nandini silently wonders how to tell Dil that the house papers are fake.
Later, on Dil’s birthday, she asks Nandini to fulfill her promise by revealing her father’s identity.
Unable to tell her the truth, Nandini lies that her father is an army officer on a secret mission who will meet her once he returns.
Nandini asks her sister-in-law to drop Dil at school, but Dil’s uncle insists on taking her himself. Frightened, Dil hides from him.
Meanwhile, Raghav faces pressure from his mother-in-law, who demands he sign papers related to Raunakpur.
Raghav refuses, saying he’s content where he is. She insists, presenting multiple copies, convinced he’ll eventually relent. In anger, Raghav smashes a glass and says he would have signed if his hand wasn’t injured.
Back at home, Dil’s uncle punishes her for refusing to sing by forcing her to carry his children’s school bags and run to school. On the way, Dil injures her leg and cries for her mother. Nandini spots her on the road and rushes to help. When she questions why Dil was alone, her uncle blames her for not listening. Nandini scolds him harshly and warns him not to mistreat Dil again before taking her away.
Later, Dil shares her confusion with her friend.
She’s puzzled—Nandini once said her father was an astronaut, and now she claims he’s an army officer. Her friend suggests maybe her father is no longer alive, and Nandini is trying to protect her. Though hurt, Dil listens. The friend then playfully suggests that Dil should find a new father to protect Nandini from her cruel uncle.
Back at home, Dil asks her cat who her new father should be. The cat stares at a poster of Raghav Kumar. Dil smiles and agrees, choosing Raghav as her new father.
