The episode begins with Sudha feeling hurt that Rakshit has gone against her. Sheela reminds Sudha that while she threw Aparajita out of the house, Aparajita found a place in Rakshit’s heart. Sudha wonders what she should do next. Sheela says that if Sudha had agreed to Rakshit and Ira’s marriage earlier, the situation would never have reached this point. She also questions how the family would react if a divorcee became their daughter-in-law. Sudha confidently declares that Rakshit will never marry Aparajita without her permission and insists that Aparajita can never become the daughter-in-law of the house. She then walks inside.
Meanwhile, Aparajita recalls the hurtful words of the neighbours and Urmila. She reflects on how her decisions have affected the people she loves. Just then, she answers Rakshit’s video call. When she asks how he is doing, Rakshit says he is fine. He praises Malti for celebrating her divorce and says she is fortunate to have such a supportive family, though he admits he is still scared of Malti. Aparajita smiles and says she is equally scared of Sudha. Rakshit tells her that Vivaan informed him about Sudha’s behaviour towards her, and he apologises on Sudha’s behalf.
Elsewhere, Vivaan and Aradhya are at a restaurant. Vivaan keeps admiring Aradhya, making her point out that people might mistake them for a couple. Vivaan tells her that anyone could fall in love with her because she is beautiful, intelligent, and talented. He then confesses his love. Aradhya thinks this is a golden opportunity in her life but decides not to pursue it. She tells Vivaan that her answer no longer matters because she is already engaged. She lies that her parents are forcing her into the marriage. Vivaan urges her to stand up to her parents, promising that he will convince his own family to accept their relationship. However, Aradhya says that is not possible. Before leaving, she hugs Vivaan, kisses him on the cheek, and runs away, leaving him smiling.
Later, at the police station, Lalit mocks Aparajita for arriving with Rakshit. Malti becomes furious at Lalit’s behaviour, while Mitali lists all of Lalit’s crimes. Aparajita adds that Lalit even tried to kill Rakshit. Rakshit tells Lalit that although he cannot escape the charges against him, he still has one opportunity. He places the mutual divorce agreement before Lalit and says that if he signs the papers, they will withdraw the cases against him. Lalit insults Aparajita, saying he is not desperate enough to remain married to someone like her. Enraged, Rakshit slaps Lalit and warns him not to speak another word against Aparajita. Aparajita, however, reminds Rakshit that she wants Lalit to be punished for his crimes.
Chandrabaga pleads with Aparajita to forgive Lalit and return to Bhopal, but Aparajita firmly refuses. Lalit signs the divorce papers, claiming that he has finally freed Aparajita. She also signs the documents, officially ending their marriage. Rakshit tells Aparajita that she is now free to decide the direction of her own life. Mitali happily announces that Aparajita is finally divorced and free from her abusive marriage. Malti embraces Aparajita with emotion.
Rakshit then instructs the police inspector to proceed with all the cases against Lalit. Shocked, Lalit reminds him about the promise to withdraw the charges. Rakshit reveals that he lied because Lalit deserves to be punished. In desperation, Lalit snatches a gun and attempts to take his own life, but Rakshit stops him, saying he should stay alive to witness Aparajita succeed and build a happy life. Lalit vows to ruin both Rakshit’s and Aparajita’s lives after he is released from prison. The police then take him away.
Afterward, Chandrabaga once again asks Aparajita to forgive Lalit. Aparajita replies that Chandrabaga also deserves punishment, but she is letting her go because of her age. Mitali says she will complete the legal formalities by filing the necessary papers in court. Rakshit congratulates Aparajita on her newfound freedom, and the two exchange warm smiles. Watching them from a distance, Malti quietly walks away to drink some water.
Later, Rakshit asks Aparajita how she feels after finally gaining her freedom. Aparajita says she feels liberated and gives Rakshit the credit for standing by her. Rakshit tells her that she has chosen the open sky and is now free to fly. Aparajita recalls their first meeting and shows him the pen he once gave her. She says she wrote the name “Aparajita Sharma” with that pen for the first time, and today she used the same pen to sign her divorce papers. She then says it is time to end their friendship and returns the pen to him. Rakshit asks what the problem is, but Aparajita explains that she does not want him to become entangled in the difficulties that may arise in her future. After apologising, she leaves. Malti overhears their conversation and silently decides that she will help write a new chapter in Aparajita’s life.
