The episode begins with Aparajita telling Rakshit that a woman spends her life being identified through her relationships—as a daughter, a wife, or a mother. She says that women rarely have an identity of their own, which is why they often do not have a home they can truly call their own. Aparajita admits that Malti was right in saying that single women are not given the respect they deserve in society. Rakshit reassures her that she is not alone because he is by her side. However, Aparajita points out that this is part of the problem, as people will never believe that they are just friends. She asks him to leave and says she will find a house on her own. Rakshit then requests the broker to show Aparajita a house whose owner is willing to rent it to a single woman.
Elsewhere, Vivaan tells Mohit about how Rakshit celebrated his birthday with Aparajita. He reveals that Ira witnessed everything but says he still does not know whether Aparajita has accepted Rakshit’s feelings or not.
Meanwhile, Aparajita visits another house. The female owner demands an additional security deposit, but Aparajita explains that she cannot afford such a large amount. The broker informs her that he has already shown her all the available houses for the day and leaves. While the owner goes inside to attend to her son, her husband approaches Aparajita and suggests that he can reduce the deposit if she agrees to take care of him. When the wife returns, Aparajita immediately tells her what happened. However, the husband denies the accusation and claims that Aparajita is lying. The wife refuses to believe Aparajita and instead scolds her before taking her husband inside.
Malti and Ramgopal witness the entire incident. Aparajita notices them standing nearby. Malti reminds her that she had already warned her that society often takes advantage of single women. She then leaves. Ramgopal tells Aparajita that he is proud of her for standing up for her self-respect, but it pains him to see her suffer. He urges her to come back with him and says he is even willing to plead with Malti on her behalf. Aparajita firmly refuses, saying that she cannot return because she has no intention of going back to Lalit.
Elsewhere, Aradhya becomes concerned about the dark circles under her eyes. She asks Rohan to buy her a cream, but he refuses, explaining that he does not have enough money at the moment and will purchase it the next day. Disappointed, Aradhya ends the call. Soon afterward, she receives a parcel from Vivaan and notices a mobile phone cover inside.
Later, at the office, Rakshit gives Aparajita some almonds and jokingly says they are for forgetting to update him about her house search. He reminds her that he had offered her a place to stay in his house, which is close to the office, and mentions that the company often helps its employees. Aparajita then reveals that she has already found a place to live. She explains that her former teacher, Padma, has offered her a room in her house. Padma lives alone, does not require a security deposit, and is charging very little rent. Aparajita says she is happy because good things eventually happen to good people. Rakshit is delighted to hear the news.
A short while later, Rakshit and Reva arrive to visit Aparajita. Surprised to see them, Aparajita asks why they have come. Rakshit claims that Reva wanted to see the new house, but Reva quickly exposes his excuse and reveals that Rakshit actually came to give Aparajita a gift. Rakshit presents her with a nameplate. When Rashmi notices that it does not include a surname, she asks why. Rakshit replies that Aparajita does not need a surname because she has her own identity.
The group then steps inside the room. Reva jokingly remarks that it looks more like a storeroom than a house. Aparajita, however, proudly says that it is her own place and that she will clean and organize it. Everyone joins in to help her.
Just then, Malti arrives. Looking at Rakshit, she says she is not surprised to find him there. She sarcastically asks whether Aparajita is a special employee and then directly questions Rakshit about the nature of his relationship with her.
