The episode opens with Dadabhai remarking that it seems they never wanted Jhanak to testify in Rishi’s favor. Indumati agrees and tells Aditi that since Rishi went to Simulboni, the villagers can no longer accuse him of kidnapping or murder. Tanushri advises Aditi not to delay the wedding, saying she should stand by Rishi to help solve every problem, and once they are married, nothing will come between them. But Aditi objects, saying Rishi should never have gone to Simulboni, and she cannot love this weaker version of him—it is becoming harder for her to even understand him.
Dadabhai then tells Aditi that until now she has only seen Rishi’s tough side, but this softer side is new even to him. He adds that she too has changed, comparing her past self with her present one. When Aditi questions what he means, Dadabhai leaves without further explanation. Tanushri comforts her, saying Dadabhai’s reaction is only out of concern for Jhanak, and reminds her that the family will never accept Jhanak. Feeling frustrated, Aditi wonders why she should suffer and decides she must talk to Rishi before making any decision about marriage.
The next day, Rishi visits Jhanak’s room. Putul asks him about Jhanak’s mother. As Jhanak wakes, she immediately asks for her mother. Rishi explains that Nutan is unwell and couldn’t come, reassuring her that it’s just a fever. Worried, Jhanak insists she will go to Simulboni after her discharge so her mother doesn’t need to travel. Putul encourages Jhanak to rest and eat properly.
Jhanak then confides that she has no place to stay and would feel better eating her mother’s homemade food. Rishi insists she will stay at his house. When Putul steps out to take a call, Jhanak questions why she should live there. Rishi tells her he promised Nutan and wants Jhanak to continue her studies under his care. Jhanak firmly refuses, but Rishi declares his decision final. Shocked, Jhanak reminds him that he once hated her name and even her face. Rishi warns her that if she refuses, he will take her by force.
Just then, Aniruddh and Aditi arrive. Aditi demands to know why Rishi is suddenly so interested in Jhanak, accusing him of making things worse. Rishi admits he caused Jhanak’s accident and feels it is his responsibility to inform her family. Aditi says she can’t understand his behavior, but Rishi replies that at least he understands himself, adding that Aniruddh surely does too—leaving Aniruddh puzzled.
Aditi insists Jhanak should return to Simulboni after her discharge to avoid further drama. Jhanak agrees, saying Rishi belongs to Aditi, and she will go back. But Rishi firmly declares Jhanak will stay in his house and pursue her studies. Aniruddh protests that such a big decision can’t be made alone, but Rishi argues that Aniruddh himself has taken similar decisions in the past.
Angrily, Aditi accuses Rishi of playing with her emotions. Rishi responds that he owes Jhanak everything—he survived Simulboni because of her, he regained his dignity as an officer because of her, and even Dadabhai is alive thanks to her. Jhanak is stunned to hear this, while Aditi warns Rishi that she cannot marry him if he continues this way.
