The episode begins with Uditanshu and Gehna discussing Satyavati Kumar’s (Uditanshu’s grandmother) condition with Dev.
During a meeting with the doctors, Dev explains that Satyavati Kumar had a son named Brijesh. When Brijesh’s final letter arrived, Satyavati accidentally tore it because she was illiterate and unaware of its importance. Dev further explains that after learning the significance of the letter, she may have swallowed either the torn letter or mud. This, he says, is the reason Satyavati does not want the mass in her stomach to be removed.
Sunny states that regardless of the reason, the solid mass in Satyavati’s stomach must be removed. He asks Uditanshu to sign the consent form. Dev reassures Uditanshu that Satyavati will not be upset with him after the surgery. Convinced, Uditanshu signs the consent form.
Satyavati undergoes surgery successfully. Meanwhile, Dev reminds Shristi that she previously organized medical camps for the military and asks whether she still has any contacts there. Shristi confirms that she does, makes a few calls, and later informs Dev that the arrangements have been made. Dev agrees.
After regaining consciousness, Satyavati is introduced by Dev to Major Farhan and Major Sachdev. Major Farhan reads a letter addressed to Satyavati from Brijesh. He explains that he had written the letter on behalf of Major Brijesh and remembers every word of it. He then tells her that he has written another copy of the letter and hands it over to her.
Major Farhan further reveals that Major Brijesh saved 25 soldiers during his final mission. He presents Satyavati with a bravery award, stating that it rightfully belongs to Brijesh. Dev tells Satyavati that now that she knows the truth about the letter, she should never eat dirt again, as doing so would dishonor Brijesh’s memory. Satyavati agrees. The family then joins her in saluting Major Brijesh’s photograph.
Later, Shristi finds herself thinking about Dev. Dev notices her hands trembling and sees that she is about to spill her coffee. He calls out to her, causing Shristi to panic and accidentally spill the hot coffee on her hand.
Dev immediately tends to her burn and washes her hand. Shristi insists that she is fine and does not feel any pain. Concerned by her response, Dev suggests that she undergo a blood test. However, Shristi refuses and leaves after making a remark about it.
Meanwhile, Satyavati asks Uditanshu to take care of Gehna. She gives Gehna a sweater that she had knitted for Uditanshu’s unborn son. With Ananya present in the room, Uditanshu accepts the gift. He then leaves with Satyavati. Suspicious, Ananya asks Gehna whether they are hiding something from her.
Elsewhere, Digvijay discusses plans for a destination wedding and asks Shristi to choose a venue. During their conversation, Shristi receives a call from Dev, who once again urges her to get the blood test done. She refuses. Dev later calls Digvijay and asks him to convince Shristi. Irritated, Shristi comments on Dev and disconnects the call. She remarks that Dev never gives up. Digvijay responds that he does not share that quality, saying that he prefers to step back and wait for the results before leaving.
The episode ends.
