The episode opens with Raghav asking Aarti if she’s all right. Aarti assures him she’s fine but reveals that Kali had plotted to kill her — calling her to the market and sending men to attack her. Aarti proudly says she fought back and proved she would never be defeated. Concerned, Raghav tells her not to step out again, as she’s his son’s last hope. He vows to take legal action against Kali and instructs his son to file an attempted-murder case. He promises to make sure justice is delivered once more.
Meanwhile, Pankaj introduces a man named Ravi to Anjali, claiming he was the truck driver involved in the accident that killed Aman and injured Anjali 21 years ago. Curious, Anjali asks if Ravi suffered burns in the explosion. Pankaj explains that Ravi escaped before the crash and later pretended to be deaf and mute. Anjali suggests a medical test, to which Pankaj agrees.
Advocate Anjali Awasthi: Ved Confronts Anjali Over Aarti’s Safety
Anjali then requests one of Pankaj’s bullets, insisting they are short on time. Hesitantly, he hands over his revolver. To test Ravi’s condition, Anjali points the gun at her own head and threatens to shoot herself. Pankaj rushes to stop her, but she fires a shot near Ravi instead. Startled, Ravi screams — revealing he can hear and speak. Pankaj commends Anjali’s sharp thinking.
Under pressure, Ravi confesses he was paid ₹1 lakh to cause the accident but claims he doesn’t know who hired him. When asked if he can identify the mastermind, Ravi nods. Anjali tells Pankaj they must bring Ravi to Aarti’s Diwali engagement, where he can recognize Aman’s killer. She sternly warns Ravi against escaping, reminding him of ACP Pankaj’s authority.
Soon after, Pankaj gets a call informing him that Aarti has lodged a complaint, alleging Kali attacked her at the market. At home, Anjali confronts Kali, demanding to know where she was that morning. Kali insists she was home, but Padma exposes her lie, saying she wasn’t there at lunchtime. Cornered, Kali claims she went to the Hanuman temple to pray for Ved. Anjali challenges her, citing Aarti’s complaint and demanding the temple’s name.
Padma accuses Kali of fake tears. Furious, Kali says Aarti’s family will never understand her pain and threatens to leave the house. Anjali stops her, revealing that Aarti has filed an attempted-murder complaint. Kali calls it a conspiracy by Aarti and Raghav, but Padma urges Anjali to speak directly with Aarti. Anjali refuses and declares she will uncover the truth during Aarti and Ved’s engagement on Diwali night.
Later, Ved calls Anjali and confronts her, saying Kali tried to harm his fiancée. He questions why she still defends Kali, accusing her of valuing law over relationships. He pleads with her to trust Aarti and promises to protect her. Anjali firmly replies that she, too, suffered injustice in the past and warns that Diwali night will expose the person responsible for her husband’s death. She ends the call.
Aarti then asks Ved about the conversation. Ved explains that Anjali refuses to withdraw the case, calling her a “devotee of the law.” He begs Aarti to stay indoors, saying he couldn’t bear to lose her. Touched by his sincerity, Aarti hugs him, and the two share an emotional “I love you,” ending the episode on a heartfelt note.
