The episode opens with Rishi asking Jhanak if she truly believes that no one from his family cares for her except Putul and Dadabhai. Jhanak quietly agrees. Rishi then tells her to eat, but Jhanak says she doesn’t want anyone’s love because not everyone gets everything in life. Rishi replies that love happens on its own. Jhanak reminds him that although he talks kindly to her in private, he scolds her in front of Aditi, questioning whether that is really love. Rishi says it’s not like that, but insists there is no point discussing it since he cannot give their bond a name. Jhanak asks him if he is unhappy with Aditi.
Rishi says he feels fortunate to have love from two people, yet he knows he won’t receive love from the one he truly cares about. Jhanak asks if this means he doesn’t love Aditi. Rishi explains that love has many forms, and the love he has for Aditi is different from what he feels for Jhanak. Jhanak says that by speaking this way, he is insulting Aditi.
Rishi tells her that Aditi is his responsibility and that he does care for her, but he cannot bring himself to confess to Aditi that he loves Jhanak. He urges Jhanak to focus on her studies and wishes she finds a good husband someday. Jhanak says she cannot think about marriage because she is already married, even if it was against her will. They begin eating together. When Jhanak coughs, Rishi immediately offers her water.
He encourages her to eat more, saying he is happy to serve her. Jhanak reminds him that he already has many people in his life to take care of. Rishi tells her about Dadabhai and Indumati’s upcoming 40th wedding anniversary celebration and says Putul will surely invite her. Jhanak replies that she is not allowed in his house and doesn’t wish to go, as she wants to protect her self-respect. Rishi asks her not to say such things while eating. Jhanak adds that he was wrong for visiting her on strike day without informing anyone, and she wants to live honestly.
At that moment, Aditi arrives with Aniruddh and Arshi. Aditi claps sarcastically, shocking Jhanak. She asks Rishi whether Jhanak has joined the police team since he told her he was taking food for his team. Rishi asks them why they are there. Aniruddh says they are not at fault for coming and explains that the principal informed him about Rishi’s visit. He adds that Rishi violated the rules to meet Jhanak.
Aditi then asks Jhanak what it will take for her to stay away from Rishi. When Rishi tries to speak, Aditi shuts him down and throws away the food. She questions what right he has to bring food to Jhanak. Arshi demands to know why he lied. Aniruddh says Rishi is hurting Aditi because of Jhanak. Rishi asks why Aditi threw the food, and she responds that he lied and that Jhanak has no rights to anything. She challenges Jhanak to speak up.
Jhanak says she will not interfere between a husband and wife, but she will respond if Aniruddh says anything further. Arshi taunts Jhanak for not having money to hire a lawyer. Jhanak clarifies that she never asked for Aniruddh’s property—only her identity. She apologizes for eating the food Rishi brought and tells him this is precisely why she didn’t want to eat. Rishi apologizes to her and insists no one can stop him from helping her. He tells Aditi he hid the matter because she would have thrown the tiffin at home anyway.
Meanwhile, a police officer asks Choton to accompany her to the mortuary. Bablu begins crying. Choton says there must be a misunderstanding, but the officer tells him he must come to confirm. Choton asks Bablu to wait for him and leaves with the officer. Later, another officer brings Anjana to Aniruddh’s home, and Bablu cries as he hugs her.
Some time later, Tanushri questions Rishi about why he took food to Jhanak. Neelu mocks him. Aniruddh says they cannot tolerate this behavior anymore. Aditi declares she will no longer stay in the house. Rishi defends himself, saying he did nothing wrong. Putul explains that Rishi wanted to tell the truth, but she stopped him to avoid unnecessary drama. Arshi tells Aditi to leave. Rishi asks Aditi what wrong he has done and apologizes for hurting her, but Arshi insists Aditi should not trust him and tells her to go.
