The episode begins with Anupama and Devika adoring little Jaya. When Anupama asks what she’s doing, Jaya replies that since Anupama is sitting with her best friend, she’s sitting with hers too. Devika then tells Anupama that Jaya’s mother passed away, so she decided to adopt her, as the child has given her a new reason to live. Anupama assures her that cancer will never win against their spirit.
Devika asks Anupama if she plans to return to Mumbai and if the city holds any special place for her. Anupama admits she’s worried about the Shah family. Devika urges her to stop living for others and focus on her own happiness. When Anupama says she misses her home, Devika teases her, asking if she’ll stay in Mumbai physically but leave her heart behind at the Shah house. Just then, Anupama spots Gautam and is taken aback, instantly growing anxious about her family. Devika reminds her that the children are grown and must take responsibility for their own choices.
Elsewhere, Vasundhara prepares for Diwali and is surprised to see Gautam handling the decorations. He insists she let him do it. Mahi, clearly smitten by Gautam, slips during the preparations, and he catches her. The two fall together, angering Ansh, but Mahi defends Gautam. Prarthana notices Mahi’s affection and warns her not to be naive. However, Mahi insists Gautam has changed and deserves understanding. Prarthana vows to protect Mahi from making a mistake.
Meanwhile, Anupama and the Shahs welcome the new year with joy and positive energy. Anupama delivers an inspiring message, saying life gives everyone 365 new chances to begin again. She notices Ishani distracted by her mobile and becomes suspicious. Devika asks her to stop overthinking, but Anupama still checks in with Pakhi and Ishani to make sure everything is fine. Pakhi decides to take Ishani to the Kothari house. Despite the celebrations, Anupama senses an approaching storm and feels uneasy about the days ahead.
In another scene, Rahi catches Prem secretly using his phone and demands to see it. When she tries to check, Prem snatches it away and accuses her of jealousy, leaving Rahi shocked.
At the Kothari mansion, Vasundhara prepares for the Govardhan Puja. When Parag offers help, she tells him she only wants the family’s lost reputation restored. Parag advises her to focus more on family than business. However, Vasundhara declares that Gautam will now assist Parag in the upcoming deal instead of Ansh, leaving Parag stunned.
Later, Mahi confesses her love to Gautam. Prarthana warns her again, but Mahi refuses to listen and tells her to stay out of her personal life.
The episode concludes with the Kotharis and Shahs performing the Govardhan Puja together. When Jaya asks about the festival, Anupama lovingly narrates how Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan mountain on his little finger to protect the villagers. Both families unite in devotion, praising Lord Krishna and celebrating the spirit of faith and protection.
