In today’s episode, Leela asks Anupama if she feels something is missing. Anupama replies that Leela is speaking from her heart. Leela then urges her not to leave, questioning why she wants to return to Mumbai and live among strangers when everyone here wishes for her to stay. Anupama is left surprised.
As the four generations pray together, Anupama blesses Kinjal and Prarthana. Leela instructs Prarthana to handle the kitchen ritual but not keep a fast. Anupama, however, advises Prarthana to rest and not strain herself. Leela then tells Anupama to visit the temple since it is both Anuj’s birthday and Janmashtami. Overwhelmed, Anupama confesses her love for Anuj.
Meanwhile, the Kotharis gather for prayers. Vasundhara announces that they will celebrate Janmashtami. Parag admits that he visited the Shahs because of Prarthana, which angers Vasundhara. She accuses him of neglecting other ties for the sake of one. Anil intervenes, asking them not to argue on such an auspicious day.
Determined, Anupama decides to celebrate Anuj’s birthday. On her way, she encounters Rahi, who confronts her and mocks her intentions. Rahi questions whether Anupama is trying to prove her love for Anuj, accusing her of being selfish. Anupama calmly replies that Anuj wished for them to celebrate his birthday together, which is why they are both present. Irritated, Rahi reminds her that ever since Anupama left, they have been celebrating alone. She cruelly taunts that Anupama could never be a mother, which is why she is desperate to compete with her in the dance. Anupama retorts with equal sharpness. Rahi vows to win the competition to shatter Anupama’s pride. When Prem tries to stop her, Rahi insists that she will cut Anupama off by celebrating Anuj’s birthday first, asking him to tell Anupama to wait. Anupama agrees, later talking to Anuj in her heart, saying that although Rahi is rude, she has grown used to her behavior.
Back at the Shahs, Jignesh surprises everyone by dressing up as Lord Krishna. Anupama looks for the dance performers. Sarita expresses excitement, saying this is her first time witnessing a Gujarati Janmashtami. Leela explains that in Gujarat, people first pray to Baal Gopal and then perform Garba. Soon after, Rahi and Prem appear as Radha and Krishna and mesmerize with their dance.
Both the Shahs and the Kotharis come together to celebrate Janmashtami. Amid the festivities, Anupama and Rahi silently miss Anuj.
