The episode begins with Nandini inviting Ishani to go shopping with her. Ishani refuses, prompting Nandini to complain that she’s unwilling to come along, even though she only wants to buy clothes for her. Shashwat encourages Ishani to join, suggesting she could also pick something for Yash. Nandini adds that she knows Yash’s taste well. Ishani replies that since Nandini has known him since childhood, she understands him better than Ishani does—and insists she still won’t go.
Shashwat’s sister chimes in, praising Nandini for taking responsibility for the household while implying that Ishani is useless in comparison. Ishani agrees sarcastically, saying that since Nandini is better at everything, she can shop alone. This angers Didi, who recalls already asking Shashwat to find another house for Nandini instead of letting her stay there. Ishani defends herself, saying she never said she disliked Nandini living in the house—only that she didn’t want to go shopping with her.
Shashwat is later seen reading a lawyer’s letter, lost in thought. Nandini asks him to convince Ishani, but he tells her to leave Ishani alone if she’s not interested. Meanwhile, Anurag hands Pihu a note to secretly deliver to Ishani, stressing that no one else should see it. Pihu agrees, but remarks that Ishani never steps out of her comfort zone despite finishing her studies. Anurag explains that Ishani is in a difficult position—too afraid to stand up to her family, with no money or support, and fearing she might be thrown out of the house. Pihu wishes she would be bolder and invites Anurag for coffee. He refuses, and she complains that he avoids drinking coffee with her, noting the last time was on Ishani’s birthday. She teasingly asks if he treats Ishani as someone special.
Back at home, Didi mocks Ishani for not being capable of handling business like Nandini, saying it’s better she just stays home. Ishani retorts that she needs to be home to cook and serve meals on time. Shashwat dismisses her complaints, pointing out she only cooks and creates drama, and says caterers will handle food tomorrow. When Didi orders her to serve food, Ishani responds that she has already cooked and Didi can serve herself. Embarrassed, Didi complains about having to endure such taunts just to eat. Shashwat changes the subject, asking Nandini to discuss something important. Anurag, meanwhile, praises Ishani for being a brilliant student trying to finish her studies.
Pihu then directly asks Anurag if he loves her, even a little. He replies that he loves her the same as his other students, but she presses him to say “yes” if he ever falls for her. He nods without commitment.
Later, Ishani apologizes to Didi for being rude but explains she had to speak up against the constant humiliation. She then voices her suspicion that Nandini and Shashwat share more than just a bhabhi–devar relationship. Didi defends them, but Ishani warns that Yash and Pihu are old enough to notice things, and gossip could ruin the family’s reputation. Didi reassures her not to worry, claiming she knows Nandini well. Ishani counters that Didi respects Nandini only because of her wealth. Their conversation stops abruptly when they see Pihu approaching.
