The episode begins with Shashwat telling the principal that Ishani only withdrew her complaint to protect her family’s reputation, and he presents a letter as proof. He questions how he can allow Ishani to study in the same college where Anurag works. Confronting Anurag, he says Ishani is a married woman and a daughter-in-law, so Anurag should have maintained his limits. He adds that no one expects such behavior from a professor.
Pihu recalls how Anurag always seemed to know everything about Ishani, and suddenly it all makes sense to her. Agreeing with Shashwat, she says Anurag constantly spoke about Ishani and accuses him of using her. Turning to Ishani, she says Ishani knew the truth all along but kept silent. When Ishani tries to explain, Pihu cuts her off, furious, saying she broke her trust. Hearing this, Nandini smirks with satisfaction. Heartbroken, Pihu says she feels ashamed to have called Ishani her best friend. She lashes out at Anurag, calling him shameless, and says she never imagined he could stoop so low. She asks why he kept his past with Ishani hidden when she had proposed to him. Shashwat is stunned by this revelation. Pihu declares she hates them both and storms out. Ishani breaks down in tears, glancing helplessly at Anurag.
Later, Ishani enters her room and tries to explain to Shashwat that she knew nothing about Anurag’s letter. Shashwat asks why she looks so frightened if she truly isn’t involved. He reassures her that he knows she hasn’t done anything wrong, but then questions if she believes Anurag’s actions were right. Determined, he vows to punish Anurag and tells Ishani not to stop him this time. She worries Anurag will lose his job, but Shashwat dismisses her concern, saying that Anurag must be punished for daring to write such a letter to his wife. He reminds her this is about her dignity and their family’s honor. He also expresses his shock over Pihu’s reaction and decides to speak with her later.
Suspicious, Shashwat questions Ishani about why she seemed to support Pihu earlier in Anurag’s matter. Ishani denies it, saying Pihu simply refused to hear her out. But Shashwat accuses her of hurting Pihu and pointedly asks if she has a special place for Anurag in her heart. Ishani is stunned and asks what he means.
Shashwat presses further, asking if she truly never fell into Anurag’s trap. He says he only asks because he has often noticed her concern for Anurag. He recalls Nandini’s words—that the feelings might be mutual after reading the letter—but insists he didn’t believe her. Still, he wants to hear the truth from Ishani. He assures her she doesn’t need to be afraid and asks if she already knew Anurag before all this. Then, locking the door, he tells her he just wants an honest answer.
Ishani grows uneasy and asks why he locked the door. Shashwat replies it’s because it’s night, then grabs her hand. She tries to avoid him, saying she is exhausted and doesn’t want to talk. But Shashwat accuses her of never truly accepting him as her husband and again brings up her supposed affair with Anurag. Ishani firmly denies it, but in anger, Shashwat strangles her and twists her arm, declaring that he is her legal husband.
