The episode opens with Aditi telling Rishi that she cannot marry him if he continues to be involved with Jhanak. She accuses him of spending too much time on Jhanak. Jhanak intervenes, asking Aditi not to be upset with Rishi, assuring her that she will leave for Simulboni. Putul steps in, suggesting they take the conversation outside since Jhanak needs rest. Aniruddh urges Rishi and Aditi to understand each other, pointing out that they are making things more complicated.
Rishi then admits that Aditi will never support him in matters concerning Jhanak, but he doesn’t blame her for it. Still, he refuses to change his decision, and Aditi, in turn, refuses to change hers. Rishi asks Aniruddh for a private conversation, and Aniruddh advises Aditi to go to college. She leaves, while Putul tells Jhanak to rest and not worry about going to Simulboni. But Jhanak quietly thinks about returning home.
Meanwhile, in Simulboni, Parashar is distraught over Nutan’s failing health. He pleads with her to stay alive, confessing that his entire existence depends on her. He recalls how he once wanted to marry her and keep her happy, but she never agreed. Nutan struggles to breathe, crying silently, while Mangal mentions that the doctor has gone to the city.
Elsewhere, Rishi hands Nutan’s letter to Aniruddh. Aniruddh reminds him that he cannot solve everyone’s problems and suggests sending Jhanak to Simulboni after her discharge. Rishi urges him to read the letter first. Shocked, Aniruddh learns that Jhanak is his and Nutan’s daughter. Memories rush back—his time with Nutan, his family’s rejection of her, and his own refusal to accept her child. Now he realizes that Jhanak is unaware of the truth and that Nutan, who is on her deathbed, wants him to take care of her.
Rishi gives Aniruddh some water and asks if he still believes Jhanak should be sent to Simulboni. Aniruddh asks if Aditi knows about this, but Rishi says no one does. Aniruddh insists that the truth must remain hidden; if Jhanak’s identity comes out, everything will be destroyed. He decides not to tell anyone and questions whether Nutan’s words can be trusted.
Rishi is stunned, asking how Aniruddh could doubt Nutan at such a time. He reminds him that Nutan loved him deeply and wouldn’t lie on her deathbed. But Aniruddh struggles to accept the revelation, saying the truth would shatter his family, which he built through many hardships. He adds that Aditi could never bear it. Instead, he promises to support Jhanak financially.
Disappointed, Rishi taunts him for reducing the matter to money when what Jhanak truly needs is acceptance. Aniruddh insists he has no other choice. Rishi reminds him that it was Nutan’s last wish and questions how he could send Jhanak to Simulboni. Aniruddh then asks why Rishi is taking on this burden. Rishi replies with conviction: because Aniruddh has refused to take responsibility for his own daughter.
