The episode opens with Jhanak telling Rishi that she will cook for him since he has to leave after eating. Rishi asks if she has a problem with him staying there. Jhanak questions what he can possibly do at her mother’s shradh and tells him to leave on time, reminding him that his family and Aditi must be worried. Rishi insists he wants to be part of Nutan’s shradh. Jhanak, surprised, asks why he is suddenly showing sympathy when there is no bond between them.
Rishi admits he doesn’t know the reason, but he has decided to stay. Jhanak says it’s unfair to Aditi, but Rishi replies that he will talk to her. Since he met Nutan before her death, he wants to attend her shradh to pay respect. Jhanak protests, saying he is doing wrong, but Rishi argues that he is correcting his past mistakes.
Later, Parashar asks Rishi to sleep there, explaining that since Nutan died in that room, her spirit would be happy to see Rishi and Jhanak together. Jhanak refuses and says she will sleep at Sakhi’s house. Parashar stops her, saying it’s unsafe to leave at that hour and that he only has Jhanak now. He then shares that he once wished to marry Nutan, but she refused because she loved Jhanak’s father deeply. Curious, Jhanak asks him to tell her about her father. Parashar declines, saying Nutan never wanted her to know the truth, and leaves after assuring her that her happiness is all that matters.
Jhanak then tells Rishi she will sleep outside. Rishi asks if she has lost her mind. She explains that Aditi will not like it if she finds out they shared a room. Rishi says it doesn’t matter what others think, but Jhanak insists on sleeping on the sofa. Rishi points out that she won’t fit there and should sleep comfortably. When Jhanak questions why he cares, Rishi says she is his responsibility and decides he will sleep on the sofa instead.
Jhanak then asks why he followed her to Simulboni. Rishi says he cannot explain it but recalls that he spoke to Nutan in that very room. Jhanak presses him to reveal what Nutan told him about her father, but Rishi replies that the time isn’t right—she isn’t strong enough to handle the truth yet. Jhanak accuses him of once hating her but suddenly showing care now, saying she can’t understand his behavior. Rishi answers that God will decide what their relationship is and tells her to rest.
The next morning, Parashar tells Mangal to invite fewer guests. Just then, Shakhi brings Aditi there. Aditi feels the house looks strangely familiar and asks Parashar about Rishi. Parashar questions why she came, but Aditi replies she wants to see him. Mangal then mentions that Rishi and Jhanak are still asleep.
