The episode begins with Aditi reassuring Rishi not to worry since Aniruddh has already spoken to his senior officer. Rishi says he isn’t afraid because he knows he is innocent. He asks Aditi and Abhimanyu to return home, but Abhimanyu refuses, insisting he will stay to support him. Rishi tells them he will speak the truth and come out clean, then walks into the police committee meeting room.
Inside, a committee member questions Rishi about the Simulboni mission. Rishi explains he went there to capture Parashar and recounts how he met Nutan and Jhanak. The committee member suggests that Rishi got personally involved with Jhanak. Rishi firmly clarifies that his focus was always on the mission, but since Jhanak was close to Parashar, he used her connection to reach him. He further narrates that he had a minor accident and was resting at the guest house when Jhanak came to give him food. Due to bad weather, he stopped her from leaving, never expecting the consequences. The next day, villagers forced him to marry Jhanak, even though neither of them wanted it. The villagers assumed something had happened between them. Rishi adds that Jhanak herself said their marriage had no value. The committee then states they need statements from both Jhanak and Aditi. Rishi informs them that Aditi is waiting outside.
Outside, Aditi meets Jhanak and asks why she is there. Jhanak replies she was called by the police. Abhimanyu accuses Jhanak of jeopardizing Rishi’s career, but Jhanak insists she doesn’t want this either. Rishi arrives and angrily assumes Jhanak came to play the victim. Jhanak calmly says she is there to give her statement and goes inside.
During the meeting, when asked about Rishi’s statement, Jhanak says there is no need to replay it because she knows Rishi has spoken the truth. The senior officer points out that Rishi does not accept the marriage. Jhanak questions why he should, when it was forced upon him. When asked about her own stance, Jhanak reveals that Rishi already told her about his fiancée, Aditi, so she will not accept him as her husband either. She says she wants to study, build her career, and would prefer a simple village life over city men. She firmly states that Rishi has never wronged her.
Rishi later arrives with Aditi. Aditi declares she will always remain by Rishi’s side as his wife and feels upset that he is suffering from false accusations. The senior officer dismisses everyone, announcing the meeting is over. Jhanak leaves, but after she’s gone, the officer plays her statement, which shocks Rishi. A committee member praises Jhanak, saying her words have saved Rishi’s job. Relieved, Rishi thanks them and leaves. His family is overjoyed at the news. Surjeet says that since Jhanak has returned to her village, her chapter is closed. Aditi insists that it was Aniruddh, not Jhanak, who saved Rishi’s job. Rishi quietly sends everyone away.
Later, Aditi narrates the entire incident to Rishi’s family, while Abhimanyu brings up Rishi and Aditi’s marriage.
Meanwhile, Jhanak, stuck in traffic, struggles to reach the bus stand. While avoiding a bike, she suddenly gets hit by Rishi’s car. She collapses unconscious with a head injury. Shocked, Rishi rushes to her side, lifts her, and places her in his car. Seeing her bleeding, he panics, realizing that although Jhanak saved him today, she is now suffering because of him. He admits his mistakes and desperately pleads with her to fight for her life.
