The episode begins with Rishi rushing Jhanak to the hospital. He informs the doctor about the accident and pleads with her to save Jhanak. On the doctor’s instructions, the hospital staff immediately take Jhanak inside. Meanwhile, the hospital manager asks for Jhanak’s details. Rishi assures him that he will fill out the form. When the manager questions what he will write in the “relationship” column and whether he knows Jhanak’s family, Rishi replies that she is his relative. He stresses that her treatment is the priority right now and that he will contact her family later. The manager insists on having a family member’s contact number, but Rishi writes his own. When the manager again probes about his relationship with Jhanak, Rishi questions why it matters. The manager says that Jhanak’s family should be present.
The doctor then informs Rishi that Jhanak has suffered a severe head injury and will need multiple surgeries. Concerned, Rishi asks if she will survive. The doctor explains that since Jhanak is young, her body may respond well, but the surgeries are complex. She adds that Rishi cannot meet her today because Jhanak will be shifted to the ICU for tests. Distraught, Rishi thinks about how he never wanted Jhanak to die and prays earnestly for her life.
Elsewhere, Aniruddh recalls seeing Nutan at the hospital and remembers what Jhanak had told him about her father. Misunderstanding the situation, he believes Jhanak lied and that Arshi was right all along. He convinces himself that if Jhanak were truly Nutan’s daughter, Nutan would have approached him. He blames Nutan for everything and even suspects she now wants to ruin Aditi’s life. Just then, Bablu informs him that Rishi has been given a clean chit, explaining that Aditi heard from the committee members that Jhanak’s statement saved him. Arshi remarks that Jhanak must have done it to gain Rishi’s trust and, with Dadabhai’s support already behind her, Rishi too may soon side with Jhanak.
Dadabhai, however, warns his family not to speak ill of Jhanak if they can’t say anything good. Aditi argues that they have faced many problems because of her, so forgetting isn’t easy. But Dadabhai reminds them that he is alive today only because of Jhanak and is certain she never spoke against Rishi in the committee. Putul supports him, saying Jhanak has done so much for them, but Indumati silences her, declaring no one is allowed to talk about Jhanak. When Tanushri asks about Rishi’s whereabouts, Aditi tries to call him, but he ignores her calls.
Later, Rishi calls Aditi himself, asking her to return home as he is still at the hospital. He admits that he was the one responsible for Jhanak’s accident and that he has admitted her for treatment. Shocked, Aditi questions how long she is expected to tolerate Jhanak. But Rishi insists he is talking about an accident, not tolerance. Aditi warns him that a case could be filed against him, but Rishi says that doesn’t matter—what matters is that Jhanak’s condition is critical. A frustrated Aditi tells him to do whatever he wants and that she will go to her own home. Rishi, however, questions how he could possibly leave Jhanak to die on the road. Aditi bitterly responds that Jhanak will never leave his life.
