The episode begins with Eshwar pleading with Mohan not to reject the marriage proposal. Mohan, feeling conflicted, says he will speak to Vandana and assures Eshwar that he’ll try not to disappoint him. Eshwar is delighted and tells Mohan that he’ll soon inform him of the wedding date and begin making arrangements. Meanwhile, Mohan worries about how he will convince Katha to accept the proposal.
At the Jindal house, UV shows a photo to Rukhmani and the rest of the family — it’s of Eshwar eating sweets from an outside shop. Just then, Eshwar enters cheerfully, humming a song, and teases UV. As he heads inside, Rukhmani confronts him about eating sweets from outside. Eshwar is stunned but denies it. The family begins questioning him one by one, and Eshwar demands proof. UV smugly shows the photo. Rukhmani taunts Eshwar, while everyone else struggles to hold back their laughter.
Rukhmani sternly declares that from now on, Eshwar will only eat khichdi. Remembering Katha’s delicious khichdi, Eshwar happily agrees, confusing everyone with his odd enthusiasm. He then asks UV to meet him privately in his room and walks away. Rukhmani worries that Eshwar is about to bring up UV’s marriage, while UV complains that Eshwar is determined to ruin his life. Rukhmani advises UV to at least hear Eshwar out before reacting. His cousins echo the same advice. Meanwhile, Ambika is upset that Eshwar is planning something behind her back and resolves to intervene.
At Mohan’s home, he returns and asks Vandana where Katha is. Vandana says Katha is probably preparing something for him. Meanwhile, Katha is seen making a healthy plant-based juice for Mohan due to his poor health. Back in the house, Mohan confides in Vandana about Eshwar’s marriage proposal. Vandana says it’s a good proposal in theory, but knowing Katha’s deep mistrust of men, she doubts Katha will ever agree. Still, she encourages Mohan to speak to Katha.
Unbeknownst to them, Katha overhears the conversation and is shocked. She tells herself that she doesn’t trust any man except her uncle, and there’s no way she will agree to the marriage. But then she remembers how much Eshwar has done for Mohan, and how much Mohan respects Eshwar. This puts her in emotional turmoil, unsure of what to do.
Inside the house, Mohan asks Vandana to help him speak with Katha. Just then, Katha walks in, pretending she hasn’t heard anything. She offers Mohan the juice she made for him. Mohan gently assures her that she is like a daughter to him and that he would never force her into anything. Katha replies that she knows this, and they share an emotional hug. After Mohan and Vandana leave the room, Katha resolves that she will turn down the proposal.
Back at the Jindal house, UV visits Eshwar in his room. Eshwar shows him the keys to his café and tells UV he can finally open it. UV is surprised and asks why Eshwar is supporting the idea. Eshwar clarifies that he isn’t encouraging UV, just giving him permission — but only if UV agrees to one condition. Before revealing it, he notices UV’s cousins eavesdropping, scolds them, and sends them away.
Once alone, Eshwar drops the bombshell: UV must agree to marry — only then will he be allowed to open the café. UV is left stunned.
