Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Today Episode 18 August 2026
The episode begins with Sobha suggesting that Gautam should try to change Samira’s mind. Gautam reminds her that Samira has already attempted suicide, so the family must handle the situation very carefully. He feels that instead of forcing Samira into a decision, everyone should stand together and understand what she is going through. Sobha assures Gautam that Mumma will handle the situation and will not let things get worse.
Meanwhile, Samira approaches Nandini and asks for permission to meet Sid. Nandini initially refuses, saying that Karan should first meet Sid’s family. Samira repeatedly requests her to let her go, but Nandini worries that she may take another extreme step.
Samira promises that she will not do anything wrong and asks Nandini to trust her. She even offers to take Nandini with her. Eventually, Nandini allows Samira to go alone but warns her not to break her trust. Samira becomes emotional and thanks her mother.
Later, Karan speaks to Gautam about Samira’s relationship with Tripti’s son. He admits that he feels helpless and only agreed to the alliance with Sid because of the circumstances. Karan wants to stop the marriage but does not know how to proceed.
He tells Gautam that they need to buy some time because Samira has already put her life at risk. Gautam suggests speaking to Subhash, while Karan remains worried about Tripti and Sid. He feels that Tripti could be dangerous and wants to understand Samira’s side before taking any further decision.
Meanwhile, Samira secretly meets Sid at a café. Sid immediately asks what happened at home. Samira reveals that she had felt so helpless because of her father’s opposition that she attempted to take her own life.
However, she tells Sid that everything has now changed because her father is finally ready to accept their relationship.
Sid becomes worried and asks Samira to promise that she will never take such a drastic step again. He tells her that they cannot allow negativity to destroy their relationship and assures her that he will handle everything.
Back home, Karan comes looking for Samira, unaware that she has already left. Garima becomes worried, while Nandini stops Karan from entering the room. Karan says that he needs to speak to Samira about something important.
Nandini asks him to wait until morning. Karan agrees and says that they need to somehow stretch the alliance while they look for a solution. Nandini remains worried and tells Garima that she will stay there until Samira returns.
At the café, Samira tells Sid that she knows her father and fears that he may never genuinely accept their relationship. Sid asks her to trust him and promises that he will stand by her. Samira asks him to promise that he will never leave her, and Sid reassures her.
Meanwhile, Nandini is consumed by painful memories of Parth and the circumstances surrounding his death. She remembers that she killed Parth to save Vaishnavi and now feels that she is once again facing a difficult situation involving her children.
Nandini wonders why Samira never told the family about Sid earlier. She turns to Thakurji and asks for guidance.
Overwhelmed with guilt, Nandini questions whether their upbringing contributed to Parth’s situation. She says that Samira is also suffering and has already attempted suicide because of the emotional pressure.
Nandini breaks down and blames herself for failing as a mother. She feels that although the family has finally reunited, new problems keep emerging.
Sobha consoles her and reminds Nandini that Samira did not even know Sid was Tripti’s son. She tells Nandini that she is a good mother and that the current situation has simply gone beyond her control.
Sobha further explains that dealing with the younger generation can be difficult because children sometimes cross boundaries while trying to understand their feelings. She asks Nandini to stop blaming herself for everything.
