Mangal Lakshmi Today Episode 02 July 2025
The episode opens with Adit confronting Mangal, demanding, “Since when have you been in love with Kapil?” He accuses her of having an affair with Kapil for the past six months and questions her character. Mangal, stunned, asks how he could speak to her in such a demeaning way. Adit, filled with bitterness, taunts that she now owns the entire ₹3000 crore KB Group, and that rumors about her and Kapil have been circulating in the office for a long time—rumors he had once chosen to ignore. He sarcastically asks if Kapil was the one who gave her the experience of her “pehla swad.”
Deeply hurt, Mangal reminds Adit that she is the mother of his children and deserves more respect. She defends her decision to marry Kapil, saying women, like men, have the right to move on and make choices. She adds that she has personal reasons—she’s doing it for her mother—and asserts, “My God knows the truth.” Adit coldly says she can marry whoever she wants, but warns that he, not she, will tell the children. Mangal refuses, insisting she will speak to them in her own way. Adit snaps that she has lost that right and demands that Kapil stop acting like their father and bribing the kids with gifts. “Their father is still alive,” he says before storming off. Sowmya quietly exits as well.
Left alone, Mangal breaks down before Maata Rani. She recalls the harsh words from Adit and Kusum. Emotionally shattered, she removes her mangalsutra and places it in the pooja thali. Through tears, she questions why she’s been placed in such a painful dilemma—torn between her mother and Amma Kusum, unsure of what’s right. As she cries at the goddess’s feet, water drips down, wiping away the sindoor from her hairline.
At that moment, Sowmya walks in, mocking Mangal’s tears. She reminds her that this is a moment of celebration—her engagement—and says she brought a gift. Mangal asks to be left alone, but Sowmya insists. She opens a box revealing a sindoor container and sarcastically says, “Until now, we shared this sindoor. But from now on, we’ll each have our own.” She smugly congratulates her, calling her “Mrs. Mangal Kapil Bhatnagar.”
Mangal returns the box, tells Sowmya to focus on her own life, and asserts that she will make her own decisions. With firm resolve, she warns Sowmya: wherever she may be, she’ll always keep an eye on her—and if she ever mistreats her children or Adit’s parents, she won’t tolerate it. Mangal then walks away with determination.
Later, Sowmya finds a visibly agitated Adit. She reminds him that she had warned him about Mangal’s alleged affair. Adit, still reeling, says he knows and doesn’t want to discuss it. Sowmya accuses Mangal of being selfish, claiming she disregarded the children and Amma Kusum, all for her “pehla swad.” She says Mangal set her sights on Kapil because he had everything—and now, her next target is the children. She warns Adit that Mangal will try to take them from him.
“They’re my kids,” Adit says defensively.
“Yes,” Sowmya replies, “but Mangal came back to snatch them away.” She then asks how he plans to tell the children about their mother’s upcoming marriage. Adit replies with steely resolve, “I’m their father. I won’t let anyone take them from me.”
Meanwhile, Mangal is seen lovingly tucking the children into bed. She decides that she will talk to them herself—explaining her decision to marry Kapil—but only after Adit speaks to them first.
Elsewhere, at Kusum’s house, Pratima arrives with shagun items. She asks the maid, Kamala, if Mangal is home. Kamala replies that she isn’t. Pratima instructs her team to place the clothes inside. Kusum arrives and immediately scolds her. Pratima retorts, accusing Kusum of hypocrisy—supporting Adit’s second marriage while refusing to accept Mangal’s. She accuses Kusum of using Mangal as a caretaker for her ailing husband. Kusum fires back, accusing Pratima of using Mangal to fix her own broken family. Pratima doesn’t deny it. “You’ve lost Mangal,” she says triumphantly, “and we’ve found her.” She walks away, victorious.
Meanwhile, Ishana returns home with her friends and is stunned to see luxurious lehengas and jewelry laid out. She says she’s never seen such lavish outfits before. Just then, Sowmya enters. Ishana asks if the outfit is hers. Sowmya covers her with a dupatta and shows her the intricate embroidery—Mangal’s name is stitched onto it. Shocked, Ishana spots both Mangal and Kapil’s names on the items. She demands to know what’s going on.
Sowmya, with a cruel smile, reveals the truth: “Your mother is getting married to Kapil.” Ishana is left speechless, stunned and seething.
