The episode opens with Mangal reflecting on Shanti’s words as she cooks. She calls Kapil, who lights up upon seeing her name on the screen. He warmly asks how she’s doing. Mangal apologizes for leaving the Pehla Swad responsibilities entirely to him. Kapil reassures her, saying it’s not a problem and encourages her to focus on resolving her personal issues. He promises to manage the business in the meantime. Mangal thanks him sincerely for his continued support.
Just then, Adit arrives and questions why she’s cooking with an injured foot. He asks if she’s taken her medicine. Mangal replies that she will. Adit reminds her that just as she ensures his father takes his medication, she must also care for herself. He mentions placing a painkiller nearby and asks her to take it. After he leaves, Kapil, still on the call, asks why she’s taking painkillers. Mangal explains about her foot injury and Adit’s concern. Kapil gently urges her to be careful before ending the call.
As Kapil turns around, he finds Pratima standing there. Surprised, he asks when she arrived. Pratima confronts him about hiding his feelings from Mangal and urges him to be honest instead of covering up with half-truths. Kapil avoids the conversation and walks away.
Meanwhile, Sudesh tries to pick up a glass, but his grip tightens too much, causing it to shatter in his hand. He cries out in pain. Mangal and Kusum rush to his side, worried. Mangal tends to the wound and blames herself for placing the glass there. Watching from a distance, Sowmya smirks—her plan to stop Sudesh from drawing the mysterious tattoo symbol worked, as she had swapped the glass beforehand.
Later, as Sowmya returns from a walk, she sees Sudesh drawing again—but this time with his left hand. Realizing that her attempt to stop him by injuring his right hand has failed, she becomes frustrated. Determined to keep Mangal away from Sudesh, she decides to rope in Pratima and Shanti to her plan.
Sowmya visits Pratima with a tray of fruits and shagun items. Pratima, surprised, asks about her visit. Sowmya suggests a marriage alliance between Kapil and Mangal, saying that even Shanti wants Mangal to move on. She implies that Pratima could help make it happen.
Sowmya adds, “I may be the daughter-in-law of the Saxena family, but it’s Mangal who’s acting like one, just to help Sudesh recover.” She claims Mangal is ready to leave, but Kusum is emotionally blackmailing her to stay. As Kapil returns home, he overhears his mother’s voice and grows curious, deciding to investigate.
Sowmya continues manipulating the situation. “Shanti knows the truth and wants Mangal to find happiness. Kapil’s life would be complete with her—and mine would be easier too. Mangal would be out of my and Adit’s lives. Please talk to Shanti and accept Mangal as your daughter-in-law.” Pratima looks thoughtful as she listens.
Sowmya offers to speak to Shanti directly, claiming, “We both have something to gain from this.” Pratima responds cautiously, saying, “This isn’t a transaction. We need to know what Mangal wants.” Sowmya insists, “I live with her—I know she cares for Kapil, even if she doesn’t express it openly.” She then shows a video of Mangal speaking about Kapil and pressures Pratima to support the idea.
Just then, Kapil calls out for his mother. Sowmya quickly hides. When he enters and asks who she was talking to, Pratima lies that she was on a phone call. Kapil notices the sweets and pooja thali and asks about them. Pratima says she ordered them for a temple ceremony and sends him to freshen up. Meanwhile, Sowmya quietly slips away.
Elsewhere, Mangal is speaking with the inspector. She explains that her father keeps drawing the same symbol repeatedly, and she believes it’s connected to his accident. She requests him to reopen the case and investigate who might have tried to harm Sudesh. She also asks him to examine the drawing she sent. The inspector responds that they can’t act solely based on a sketch, especially since Sudesh is not considered mentally stable. Mangal pleads with him to at least conduct a basic inquiry, and he reluctantly agrees. Determined, Mangal vows to uncover the symbol’s meaning. Watching from a distance, Sowmya—who bears the same tattoo mark—smirks, hiding her dark secret.
