Mangal Lakshmi Today Episode 22 August 2025
The episode begins with Mangal lost in thoughts about the mysterious hoodie-clad person. Just then, Kapil calls, and she accidentally picks up. She blurts out, “I know that hoodie person was here.” Concerned, Kapil asks what happened, but Mangal brushes it off, saying, “Nothing.” He tells her his mother has invited friends for lunch and urges her to come, assuring she’ll feel better. Mangal abruptly disconnects the call, and Kapil decides to give her some space.
Meanwhile, Adit tells Kusum that Mangal has lost her senses. Kusum scolds him, reminding him not to dismiss her words so lightly, especially since even Akshat claimed to have seen someone. Adit questions Akshat, who admits he said the hoodie was red, while Mangal insisted it was black. Suspicious, Adit asks if he is hiding something. Akshat breaks down and confesses that he lied—he hadn’t seen anyone, but said so only to support his mother after hearing Adit call her mad. He apologizes tearfully. Adit consoles him, assuring it’s alright. Disturbed, Akshat asks if his mother is okay. Both Adit and Kusum reassure him and send him away with Ishana. Later, they privately discuss Mangal’s unusual behavior.
Determined to prove she isn’t lying, Mangal vows to catch the culprit herself. Suddenly, she receives a threatening call warning that Kapil will die before her eyes. Shocked, she demands to know who it is and what they want. Monisha, disguising her voice as a man, coldly tells her to try and save Kapil if she can. After cutting the call, Monisha stares at Kapil’s photo and mutters, “You left me, but I can’t leave you, Kapil.”
Frightened, Mangal tries to hire an auto to reach Kapil and attempts to call him, but the call doesn’t go through. Meanwhile, Adit and Kusum decide she needs psychiatric help. Kusum tells Adit to ask Kapil to book an appointment. Adit refuses, saying he can handle it himself. Kusum confronts him, warning, “Why show so much concern now? You couldn’t take care of her when she was your wife. She’s going to be Kapil’s wife now, so stop interfering.” Adit defends himself, “Mangal is the mother of my children, I have every right to care for her.” But Kusum reminds him sharply, “You lost your place to Kapil. Let him take responsibility now. I don’t want Mangal troubled because of you. Kapil and Pratima ji will handle her.”
Meanwhile, Kapil is at home entertaining his mother’s friends, unaware of Mangal’s frantic calls as his phone is on silent. The women ask about Mangal, and Kapil smilingly says, “Today, I’ll make you see Mangal in me.” They call Mangal lucky to have him and praise Pratima for raising such a son.
At that moment, Mangal arrives and notices Kapil’s photo marked with today’s date as his “death day.” Panicked, she suddenly spots an almirah about to fall on Kapil and pushes him aside to save him. Everyone is stunned. Pratima demands an explanation, and Mangal insists Kapil’s life is in danger—that the hoodie person tried to push the almirah. But when they check, the almirah is steady in its place. Kapil says no one is around. Pratima recalls Mangal’s strange behavior earlier at Kusum’s house and grows uneasy. Mangal then urges everyone to look at Kapil’s photo where “death day” was written, but when they check, the picture looks normal. Pratima’s guests whisper among themselves that Mangal has gone mad.
Mangal, shaken to the core, wonders who is plotting against her.
