The episode begins with Kapil telling Ishana that she finally spoke the truth and the real culprit has been caught. He asks her to promise never to lie again. Ishana agrees. Kapil then praises Mangal for her upbringing, saying, “You could’ve covered up Ishana’s mistake, but instead, you brought her to me and spoke the truth.”
Mangal replies, “As a mother, it’s my responsibility. If my daughter made a mistake, it’s mine too. I only did what was right to correct it.” She asks them to sit while she goes to get water.
Meanwhile, Kusum approaches Mangal and says, “You ended your engagement with Kapil over a misunderstanding. He’s a good man—please reconsider.” Mangal responds that she doesn’t want Ishana to suffer anymore. Kusum insists, “It was Ishana who wronged Kapil, yet he didn’t walk away. He wasn’t even angry. A partner like him is rare. Don’t lose him.”
Ishana, who overhears their conversation, walks in and tells Mangal, “Kapil is a genuinely good man. I misunderstood him.”
Later, Ishana tells Kapil to put the engagement ring back on Mangal’s finger, saying, “I want to fix this mistake too.” Akshat also urges Kapil to accept and rejoin their family.
Watching the scene unfold, Sowmya thinks to herself, I don’t mind this drama if it gets Mangal out of our lives.
Pratima agrees with the kids and says, “I’ve always considered Mangal a part of our family. That’s why I kept her engagement ring, hoping she and Kapil would reunite someday.”
She hands the ring to Kapil and asks Mangal for her decision. Kapil gently says, “This choice is entirely yours. Just tell me—yes or no.”
Akshat, Ishana, and Shanti all urge Mangal to agree. Pratima suggests they can soon fix the wedding date. Kapil takes off his ring, and Shanti encourages him to place it on Mangal’s finger. He does so, and everyone applauds. Mangal smiles and reciprocates by putting the ring on his finger—they are officially engaged again.
Sowmya silently rejoices, Finally, Mangal will leave my life. Shanti thanks God for making things right again, and she, Pratima, and Kusum share their happiness.
Later, Pratima meets Kapil and Mangal at the office. She informs Kapil that his boss, Mr. Varma, is in Delhi. Mangal acknowledges that Varma was the one who gave Kapil his big break. Kapil recalls, “Varma sir always said, ‘I don’t easily like girls, but when I do, she’ll be one in a million.’ And now, it’s finally true.”
Pratima expresses her wish to invite Mr. Varma and Kapil’s friends for dinner so they can meet Mangal before the wedding. Mangal hesitates, but Pratima insists. Mangal agrees, and Kapil reminds her to be punctual, as Mr. Varma values time. Mangal promises to be on time.
At home, Mangal encourages Akshat to drink his milk, saying, “I’m not even ready yet and I don’t know how I’ll make it to dinner by 8.” Meanwhile, Akshat plays loudly and irritates Sowmya. Annoyed, Sowmya thinks, Mangal is going to enjoy a party while leaving the kids here, and secretly mixes medicine into Akshat’s milk.
Just as Mangal is about to leave, she sees Akshat crying and clutching his stomach. Kusum reminds her, “You need to meet Kapil’s guests.” But Akshat pleads, “Please don’t leave me, Mom.” Mangal notices he also has a fever and takes him inside.
At the dinner, Pratima and Kapil welcome Mr. Varma and his friends, who are eager to meet Mangal. Mangal calls Kapil to inform him that Akshat is unwell, so she won’t be able to attend. Kapil assures her, “Don’t worry—I’ll manage here. You take care of Akshat.” Mangal thanks him.
Pratima, still upset, urges Kapil to call Mangal again. When Kapil explains the situation, Pratima complains, “Why can’t Mangal understand us?” Mr. Varma inquires about Kapil’s fiancée, but Kapil evades the topic and returns to the guests. Still, Pratima is determined: I won’t let Kapil face this kind of embarrassment again. Mangal has to come.
Back at home, Mangal sees that Akshat’s fever has subsided. Just then, she’s startled to find Pratima at the door. She asks in surprise, “You’re here?”
