The episode begins with Umesh asking Lakshmi to break a coconut before starting the Ganesh Sthapana pooja. As Lakshmi breaks it, her hand suddenly burns. Jia smirks to herself, recalling how she had spiked the coconut. Concerned, Karthik quickly applies cream to Lakshmi’s hand, while both wonder how the burn happened. Gayatri says the pooja must go on despite Lakshmi’s injury. Sanjana insists that since the pooja is for the baby, it should be done by both Karthik and Lakshmi. However, Karthik decides to perform it alone. At that moment, Jia interrupts, claiming she should join him because she is carrying his child. Karthik sternly refuses, declaring that only his wife, Lakshmi, has that right. Gayatri scolds Jia/Imarti for even suggesting such a thing and announces that she herself, as the baby’s grandmother, will perform the aarti with Sudesh. Together, they complete the ritual.
Afterward, Karthik lovingly feeds prasad to Lakshmi, leaving Jia restless and insecure. Sanjana and Gayatri again attempt to see Imarti’s face. To prevent being exposed, Jia deliberately falls into a Kumkum plate, covering her face with the red powder. Pretending to be in pain, she cries that her eyes are burning. Lakshmi notices a thread stuck in her ghoonghat, but Jia accuses others of trying to reveal her identity and not letting her live in peace. Gayatri exposes that Sanjana tried to lift the veil. Sanjana admits she did it out of curiosity. Karthik and Lakshmi warn everyone not to break Imarti’s mannat. Lakshmi then sends Imarti back to her room.
The next morning, Lakshmi takes food to Imarti’s room but finds it empty. While cleaning, she discovers thorns in the dustbin and recalls how they had once injured her and Karthik. Suspicious, she wonders how they ended up there but brushes the thought aside. Just then, Karthik arrives and reminds her it’s the day of their baby’s first sonography. Excited, he asks Lakshmi to accompany Imarti to the hospital while he joins them later from his recording.
Meanwhile, Jia secretly mixes something into Lakshmi’s tea and sends it through a servant. Lakshmi drinks it unsuspectingly, but soon feels dizzy and collapses unconscious. Watching from a distance, Jia smirks, satisfied that Lakshmi will remain asleep.
At the clinic, Karthik waits for Lakshmi and repeatedly tries calling her, but she doesn’t answer. Instead, Jia/Imarti calls him, pretending to be in distress. She tells him that Lakshmi was sleeping, so she left alone for the hospital as she was experiencing stomach pain. She further claims that an auto driver misbehaved with her, but she managed to escape and called him for help. Karthik consoles her and promises to take her to the hospital, though he worries why Lakshmi hasn’t answered his calls since she never sleeps at this hour.
Back home, a rat topples a pot of water, and as it flows near Lakshmi, she slowly regains consciousness. Realizing it’s already 3 o’clock, she sees multiple missed calls from Karthik. She immediately tries calling Imarti, but the guard informs her that Imarti has already left for the clinic in an auto. Alarmed, Lakshmi wonders why she went alone.
