The episode begins with Dhairya waiting for an opportunity to disrupt Mannat’s Karva Chauth rituals. Mannat is immersed in the puja when Mallika signals Dhairya to create chaos. He pushes a diya to divert attention and shouts “fire!” Unexpectedly, Vikrant tries to extinguish it and accidentally burns his hand. Dhairya panics and rushes to help. Vishaka stops Neetu from approaching Vikrant, telling her that Mannat is already there to help. She subtly instigates Neetu, blaming Mannat for misfortune and hinting that her “bad luck” could affect Vikrant. She praises Mannat as a good daughter-in-law, adding tension to the situation.
Later, Mannat and Roni attend to Vikrant’s burn while they hear Neetu shouting. Vikrant wants to check on his mother, and Roni reassures him that she will calm down once she learns he is safe. Mannat decides to go to Neetu and explain that Vikrant is fine.
When Mannat reaches Neetu, she informs her that Vikrant is safe and there’s nothing to worry about. Neetu accuses Mannat of bringing bad luck into their lives and humiliates her, questioning why she entered her son’s life.
