The episode begins with Shreya criticizing Nayanika for allegedly failing to give importance to Ujjaini and her job. According to Shreya, Nayanika is only interested in getting married. Jaya asks her to stop focusing on the negativity and instead enjoy the special occasion. Meanwhile, Akash asks the priest to begin the rituals for Indrani and her husband’s anniversary celebration.
As the couple performs the rituals, the family members happily clap and celebrate the occasion. However, Nayanika’s absence soon becomes a topic of discussion among the guests.
Malini expresses her desire to meet Nayanika. Shreya sarcastically suggests that Nayanika might be busy talking to Ishaan over the phone. Malini criticizes Shreya for speaking without thinking and asks her husband Jaydeep to accompany her. Jaydeep refuses, but Gabloo says that he wants to meet Nayanika.
Mini asks Ujjaini to call Nayanika downstairs, but Ujjaini refuses. Soon, Shisho arrives with a gift for Indrani and her husband. Indrani introduces him as Ujjaini’s future husband and asks him to bring his parents to the house sometime. Shisho agrees but soon asks about Nayanika. Ujjaini immediately takes him inside.
The guests also begin questioning Nayanika’s absence. Some of them find it strange that she is not present at such an important family function. Rudra makes a negative comment about Nayanika and claims that her relationship with the family will not last for long. He also says that Nayanika will eventually move permanently to another house.
The guests then bring up news reports about Nayanika and make insensitive comments about her. They praise Angana for managing the family so well. Akash becomes uncomfortable with their remarks and reminds them that Nayanika had also taken care of the family for a long time, even without her husband. He questions how they know so much about Angana and asks them to focus on the celebrations instead.
Meanwhile, Malini goes to Nayanika’s room and asks why she did not come downstairs. Nayanika tells her that she never intended to attend the function because Ujjaini does not want her there. Malini says that the family is upset because of Nayanika’s actions and reminds her that she cannot behave rudely like her.
Nayanika calmly asks when she ever said that she wanted to be part of the celebration. Her response leaves Malini without much to say.
Elsewhere, Shisho questions Ujjaini about Nayanika’s absence. Ujjaini openly admits that she does not want Nayanika at the function. Shisho is disappointed by her attitude and asks her to consider Nayanika’s feelings as well.
He tells Ujjaini that she should not become narrow-minded and reminds her that since they are in a relationship, they should be able to discuss difficult subjects openly. Shisho even says that if he had known Nayanika was not welcome, he might not have come to the function.
Shisho makes it clear that he respects Nayanika deeply and then goes to meet her.
Mini overhears their conversation and tells Ujjaini that Shisho is a genuinely good person. She advises Ujjaini not to lose someone who respects others and stands by what he believes is right.
Meanwhile, Nayanika tells Malini that she cannot continue living in Basu’s house because Ujjaini does not want her there. Malini reminds her that she is financially independent and could even stay in a hotel if necessary because Ishaan is wealthy.
Malini further argues that Ishaan has a responsibility towards Nayanika because he applied sindoor to her forehead. She also suggests that Nayanika must have had feelings for Ishaan, otherwise she would never have allowed him to do so.
Shisho overhears the conversation and immediately becomes angry. He scolds Malini for insulting Nayanika and asks her to stop making such personal remarks. Malini leaves.
Shisho then turns to Nayanika and advises her not to sacrifice her happiness simply because of Ujjaini. He tells her that she should live her own life and should not reject Ishaan merely to satisfy someone else.
Nayanika refuses to discuss the matter and makes it clear that she does not want to talk about Ishaan.
Shisho assures her that he will always support her. His words give Nayanika some emotional strength as she continues to struggle with her complicated relationship with Ishaan and the Basu family.
