The episode begins with Shreya remarking that Ishaan’s behavior toward Nayanika does not seem normal. Nayanika immediately asks her to stop, saying that such comments are insulting. Shreya clarifies that she is talking about Ishaan, not Nayanika, and insists that it is obvious he is becoming increasingly desperate. Nayanika’s father intervenes, saying that everything depends on a person’s perspective. However, Indrani states that Nayanika is still her daughter-in-law and should behave accordingly. She questions how Nayanika could visit Ishaan’s house, spend time with him, and even invite him over for dinner. Nayanika’s mother is surprised by Indrani’s tone and asks why she is speaking in such a manner.
Nayanika firmly responds that she is no longer Neil’s wife, so she cannot be considered Indrani’s daughter-in-law either. She reminds Indrani that she was not even allowed to participate in the family puja. Since she is not treated as a daughter-in-law, she declares that she will not wear a veil like the other women in the household. Nayanika’s father supports her stance, while her mother gently asks her not to lose her temper.
Indrani then brings up the bouquet that Nayanika accepted from Ishaan during the event, pointing out that she never informed the family about it. She also reminds everyone that Nayanika had initially said she would not attend the programme but later changed her decision. Shreya shifts the conversation and asks how much Nayanika was paid for writing the song. Nayanika’s father questions what is wrong with earning money through her writing. Indrani responds that her other daughters-in-law do not engage in such activities. Rusha immediately points out that the others are not as talented as Nayanika. Irritated, Indrani tells Rusha to stay quiet.
Seeing the growing tension, Nayanika’s mother says that she wants to take Nayanika home with her for a few days. However, Nayanika refuses, explaining that Ujjaini’s examinations are approaching and that she also has an upcoming seminar to attend. She reassures her mother that she is doing fine.
Elsewhere, Ishaan calls Ujjaini to ask about Nayanika’s health. Ujjaini tells him that Nayanika has not been feeling well and that they will be taking her for further medical tests the next day. Overhearing the conversation, Nayanika asks Ujjaini why she is sharing all this information with Ishaan. Ujjaini hands her the phone and goes to fetch some water.
Nayanika tells Ishaan not to worry about her and to focus on his work instead. Ishaan admits that he has been unable to concentrate because he keeps thinking about her. Concerned, he asks about her condition and whether she is in pain. Nayanika responds coldly, reminding him that their relationship is merely formal and that she has no desire to share personal matters with him. Left alone with her thoughts, Nayanika begins to fear that her condition may be serious. Because of the persistent pain in her chest, she worries that she could be suffering from a major illness. She becomes anxious about what would happen to Ujjaini if anything were to happen to her.
The following day, Dr. Shikha advises Nayanika to undergo both an ultrasound and an MRI scan. Nayanika agrees without hesitation. Shikha explains that a lump has been detected, which is why she is concerned and wants to investigate further. She also suggests that Nayanika show the reports to Neil, as he is an oncologist and could offer valuable insight. However, Nayanika refuses to involve him.
Meanwhile, Shirsho tells Ujjaini that he finds Nayanika truly remarkable. Curious about her past, he asks what exactly went wrong between Nayanika and Neil. Ujjaini reveals that Neil had an affair with Angana. She explains that Nayanika never forgave him for his betrayal and ultimately forced him to marry Angana. Shirsho confidently says that he knows how to handle someone as angry and moody as Nayanika. Ujjaini brushes off the comment and says she needs to return to Nayanika.
Later, Nayanika begins writing something down. Dr. Shikha reads what she has written, while Nayanika finds herself recalling Ishaan’s words and concern for her.
