The episode starts with a bus conductor noticing an unattended bag. As he moves to inspect it, unaware that Dil is hiding inside, passengers distract him by asking for their tickets, unknowingly saving Dil from being discovered.
Meanwhile, Natasha is stopped by the police. An officer confronts her, asking if she thinks she can get away with what she did. Natasha panics, assuming he’s referring to the accident she caused a few days ago. However, the officer is actually talking about her speeding. He casually informs her that the back tyre of her car is flat and tells her to check it. He also brings up a recent accident where a person died after being hit by a car, leaving Natasha even more anxious.
Elsewhere, Shanaya throws a tantrum, accusing others of cheating and refusing to continue the game. Raghav arrives and asks what happened. Chandan’s wife explains that Shanaya lost the game. Raghav’s mother adds that Shanaya is upset because Natasha left her, and she urges Raghav to handle her gently. Raghav agrees.
He tries to cheer Shanaya up, but she pushes him away and asks him to leave. Feeling disheartened, Raghav walks off but later returns with his face covered and manages to make her smile. Shanaya tells him he must apologize to her mother and become her friend. Raghav agrees and suggests they win the carrom game first. They begin playing again. Shanaya then asks him to take her to Film Nagar, and he agrees.
At home, Maama confronts his wife Lata, demanding to know where she sent Dil. Their son overhears and becomes frightened. Lata tells him she put Dil on a random bus for her safety, revealing that he had sold her to a drama troupe. He justifies his actions, claiming it was for the sake of their children, then takes Lata’s phone, saying he’ll keep it in case Dil calls. Lata silently prays that Dil never returns.
The bus finally reaches Mumbai. Dil is thrilled. Two kids notice the bag and drag it out. Dil and her cat Billi emerge and stare at the city in amazement. Dil asks the kids why they left her at the fair. They tell her this is Mumbai, not a fair. When they ask her name, she says “Diljeet.” They laugh and call her “Batata.” Curious about the bag, they ask what’s inside. Dil says it holds her mother’s belongings. When they ask why, she explains that she’s searching for her father, and after that, she’ll look for her mother too.
Meanwhile, Shanaya thanks Raghav for bringing her to Film Nagar. Batata and Matches ask Dil about her father. Dil says she doesn’t know his name, only that he’s a singer. They offer to help and take her along.
Raghav and Shanaya arrive at Film City. As the media and crew rush to take photos, Raghav tries to stop them, but Shanaya supports the photographers. After escorting Shanaya inside, Raghav returns, buys lunch for the media, and breaks their cameras. He pays for replacements and warns them never to click his daughter’s pictures again.
Batata and Matches take Dil to Film Nagar, pretending she might find her father there. Secretly, they plan to steal her mother’s bag, thinking it contains something valuable. They trick Dil and run off with it. Left alone, Dil prays at Film Nagar, hoping to find her father.
