The episode begins with Aparajita questioning why she should save a relationship in which she is unhappy. Lalit’s lawyer asks her why she feels that way. Mitali encourages Aparajita to tell the judge the truth, reminding her that if she remains silent, the judge may believe Lalit’s act and refuse to grant her a divorce. Aparajita realizes she cannot let lies triumph over the truth. She tells the judge that she has no option but to reveal the reality of her marriage. She says that she has become calm because she has no tears left to shed and does not want to cry anymore.
Aparajita reveals that Lalit used to physically abuse her and subject her to constant mistreatment. Lalit immediately defends himself, claiming that he slapped Aparajita only once by mistake and apologized to her many times afterward.
Aparajita questions whether Lalit had the right to slap her simply because she was his wife. She goes on to reveal that Lalit once burned the saree she was wearing. Lalit dismisses the accusation, claiming that the lamp accidentally slipped from his hand. Aparajita asks why he is always making such “mistakes.” She further tells the judge that Lalit never wanted her to step outside or work. He even broke her saree-weaving machine to stop her from participating in a competition and deliberately injured her fingers by stepping on them. Her family is left shocked by these revelations.
Aparajita continues by saying that Lalit also stole the saree she had woven. Lalit accuses her of lying, while his lawyer demands proof of all her allegations. The lawyer argues that Aparajita should have informed her family if such incidents had really happened. Aparajita explains that she remained silent because she did not want to worry her family and tolerated everything for four days, hoping Lalit would change. He tells the judge that Lalit is not wealthy and claims Aparajita decided to leave her poor husband for the rich Rakshit. He says he has evidence to support his accusations and presents hospital documents in which Rakshit signed as Aparajita’s husband. He also tells the court that Rakshit assaulted Lalit at the hospital. Mitali defends Rakshit, explaining that he only helped Aparajita, but the lawyer questions why an employer would go to such lengths for an employee.
Elsewhere, Sudha tells Arvind that she is happy they are taking shagun to Aparajita’s house. Arvind suggests they should inform Rakshit beforehand. Sheela warns Sudha that she will regret her decision and urges her to choose Ira for Rakshit instead, saying Ira is a better match for their status. However, Sudha firmly replies that Rakshit loves Aparajita, not Ira.
Back in court, Malti shouts that everything being said is wrong. The judge calls her to the witness box. Malti says she does not want Aparajita and Lalit’s relationship to end and insists that Rakshit is only Aparajita’s friend. However, the lawyer claims he has photographs proving that Aparajita is a woman of questionable character and has an illicit relationship with Rakshit. He concludes by telling the judge that Lalit is the real victim in this case, not Aparajita.
