Even then, she struggles to match the influence and popularity that Mandira commands. Before leaving, Mandira confidently tells Sayali that she has no chance of winning the election. Her words deeply wound Sayali and leave her feeling defeated.
On her way back home, Sayali reflects on the day’s events. Instead of focusing on money or power, she begins thinking about the real struggles of the flower traders and their families. She recalls their concerns, including lack of proper medical facilities, difficulties in children’s education, and issues related to the safety and security of young girls. These thoughts make her realize that true leadership lies in service rather than promises or influence.
