The episode begins with Sunita confronting Aarti, who is disguised as Anjali. Sunita questions why Aarti told the Rajput family that she was dead when she was actually born. Sunita reveals that it was Ganesh who instructed her to lie—because if people found out Aarti was alive, she would be targeted by Anjali’s enemies. Sunita insists that’s all she knows and tries to leave. But Aarti stops her and asks her to turn around. When Sunita does, she is shocked to see “Anjali” standing. Aarti then reveals that she is not Anjali, but Aarti—the daughter of Anjali. She tells Sunita she needs her help to uncover the truth and requests her support when the time is right. Aarti then leaves with Pradeep.
Ganesh returns home and is surprised to see Aarti still in disguise as Anjali. Believing Anjali has recovered, Ganesh excitedly calls Stepney, Pradeep, and Padma to share the news. He asks “Anjali” if she can speak now, thrilled at her apparent recovery. But Aarti quickly clarifies the truth—she is not Anjali, but Aarti Awasti. Ganesh is stunned and asks if she’s joking with him and playing with his emotions. He says he truly believed Anjali had healed. Aarti, in turn, accuses Ganesh of playing a joke on her all these years. She explains that she approached Sunita to find out why she lied to the Rajput family about her death—and Sunita took Ganesh’s name. Aarti demands to know why Ganesh told Sunita to declare her dead at birth.
Ganesh reveals that he overheard a suspicious phone conversation 21 years ago in the hospital. In a flashback, Yuvraj is shown speaking to Chandraman over the phone, saying Anjali has gone into a coma and Aman is dead. Ganesh had overheard that conversation.
Ganesh tells Aarti that he feared for her safety, which is why he begged Sunita to lie about her being alive. He adds that soon after, a mysterious man came to the hospital inquiring about Aarti. Sunita told him she was dead.
Aarti then asks Ganesh if he saw the man’s face. Ganesh says no—he only heard the voice. Aarti asks if he can recognize the voice, and he confirms that he can. When she asks whether it was a man or woman, Ganesh says it was a man. Aarti resolves to track him down.
Later, Aarti receives a call from Ved. He tells her that even though it’s his first night with Kali, he won’t celebrate it—because he still loves Aarti. Aarti reminds him that he is now married and must not love her anymore. Ved responds emotionally and says he’s leaving the room. Aarti pleads with him not to do that and urges him to accept Kali as his wife. She even makes him swear on her. But Ved insists that no matter what, he will never share his first night with anyone but Aarti. Then he disconnects the call.
Kali, devastated, asks Ved what her fault is for being rejected. Ved coldly replies that her only fault is that she is not Aarti.
Ved later stands in front of his mother’s photograph and vows that he will only ever celebrate his first night with Aarti, no one else. Meanwhile, Kali pleads with him not to abandon her, saying there’s nothing more humiliating for a woman than being deserted on her wedding night. Ved ignores her and walks away.
Heartbroken, Kali calls Aarti and complains that Ved has left her alone on their first night. She says there’s no greater insult for a woman, and adds bitterly that it would have been better if she had gone to a brothel. Aarti asks Kali to give her some time and assures her that Ved will eventually return to her.
