The episode opens with Anjali telling Gaurav that she will appear in court, knowing full well that Bhajan will try to tarnish Raghav’s reputation. She firmly states that she knows how to deal with Bhajan and then leaves. Nivedita notices Gaurav in tears and asks why he is crying. Gaurav, emotionally overwhelmed, says he can’t help but cry after seeing Raghav’s condition.
In the courtroom, Bhajan accuses Raghav of attempting to murder Padma and presents his argument. He informs the judge that Pankaj witnessed the incident and calls him to testify. Bhajan asks Pankaj whether he saw Raghav stab Padma. After a brief moment of reflection, Pankaj confirms that he did see Raghav stabbing Padma, then steps down from the witness stand.
The judge invites the defense lawyer to present her case. As she prepares to begin, Anjali stands and requests permission to take over, explaining that the case is too complicated for the current counsel. The defense lawyer insists on continuing, but Aman and Ganesh support Anjali, assuring the lawyer that Anjali’s fees will be handled. Anjali formally asks the judge to allow her to represent Raghav. However, Raghav declines and asks the court to let him defend himself. The judge agrees.
Raghav tells the court that Padma had invited him to her wedding and that he considers her like a daughter. Bhajan counters by questioning why Raghav didn’t defend Padma when she was previously molested if he cared so much. Raghav remains silent. Bhajan then calls Rupa Rani to the stand.
Bhajan asks Rupa Rani if she placed Padma in the Rajput household. She confirms and adds that Raghav is not a good man. She criticizes him harshly, claiming men like him make the world unsafe for women and urges the court to punish him to set an example.
The judge asks the defense lawyer if she wishes to cross-examine the witness. As she agrees, Anjali once again intervenes and requests to conduct the cross-examination. The judge grants her permission.
Anjali assures Raghav that he should trust her and promises to fight for his justice. She begins by asking Rupa Rani how long Padma has worked as a maid. Rupa replies, “Six years.” Anjali then asks how often she has visited Padma during this time. Rupa admits it was only once or twice. Anjali uses this to argue that Rupa is more interested in the money Padma sends home than in Padma’s well-being.
Anjali then asks if Rupa Rani is well-educated. She replies no. Anjali follows up by asking who taught her to use terms like “safety,” “society,” and “women’s protection,” and whether Bhajan had coached her. Rupa is silent. Anjali concludes that Rupa’s testimony is biased and influenced by Bhajan, and therefore should not be considered credible.
Anjali then requests the court to retrieve Raghav’s phone, explaining that she had recorded a call between Raghav and Padma. The judge agrees. She also asks to recall Pankaj to the stand, and the judge permits it.
Anjali tells Pankaj that he was misled. Pankaj says he saw Raghav holding a knife at the scene. Anjali presses him further—did he actually see Raghav stab Padma? Pankaj remains silent.
