Anupama Today Episode 20 August 2025
In today’s episode, Anupama visits Anu Ki Rasoi and is flooded with memories of the past. Paritosh grows restless, fearing she might discover that he sold all the utensils from there. He asks what she is doing. Anupama replies that no one has visited the place in a long time and urges him to speak. Paritosh lies, calling the place “cursed,” which is why it remains abandoned. Anupama firmly says Anu Ki Rasoi can never be cursed—it was the very place where she regained her identity. She adds that he will never understand and asks him to leave. Paritosh worries what excuse he will give her if she questions the missing utensils.
Lost in thought, Anupama recalls Vasundhara’s harsh words—that despite all her struggles through two marriages, Anu Ki Rasoi, America Cooking Star, the dance academy, and competitions, she is still left struggling. Overcome with emotion, Anupama breaks down, wondering why life always brings her back to the same starting point despite endless effort. She misses Anuj but gathers her strength, vowing not to lose courage.
Meanwhile, Jignesh notices the haldi preparations and remarks to Manohar that he has never seen rose pakoras before. Leela quickly saves the haldi paste from him. Parag sees the haldi and is reminded of Prarthana. Vasundhara urges him not to connect the ritual with Prarthana and focus on eating instead. Khyati too asks him to sit down and have food.
Anupama silently thinks that no matter how much she tries, she cannot bring the natural glow to Prarthana—a bride shines only with her parents’ blessings. She wishes the Kotharis would attend the function. Later, Anupama joins the Shahs and Kotharis for a celebratory dance. Leela notices Prarthana’s sadness and asks Anupama what happened after her meeting with the Kotharis. Anupama tells her to be patient and silently wishes Parag would attend his daughter’s haldi.
During the function, Paritosh urges everyone to enjoy themselves, reminding them that they couldn’t celebrate at Pari and Raja’s wedding and that Mahi and Aryan’s wedding was filled with drama. Mahi and Anupama recall the bitter past. Just then, Rahi accuses Anupama, blaming her for Parag, Khyati, and Vasundhara’s absence from Prarthana’s wedding.
Elsewhere, Gautam manipulates Vasundhara. He reminds her that the Kotharis owe him—he was the one who saved their drowning business, and even today he lives like their son, not just a son-in-law. Yet, he asks bitterly, what did he get in return? Now that Ansh is demanding rights over his child, Gautam declares he cannot let his child grow up in another family’s house. “Why should my child be raised elsewhere?” he questions. “Why should my child mean nothing to you, Motiba? What I couldn’t achieve, my child will. Why should the flowers of our courtyard bloom in the Shahs’ house? If my child is raised there, he will inherit the same values Anupama gave her children. The light of the Kotharis and Gandhis will shine in the Shahs’ home instead.” He warns that if the Kotharis accept Ansh as their son-in-law, he will turn into their enemy. Vasundhara is left stunned.
