Meanwhile, Shashwat tells Nandini that the matter has now turned into a defamation case. Nandini reminds him that their original plan was only to scare Anurag, but now they must face the consequences. Shashwat argues that their case is weak, since Nandini never met Anurag after the party, and suggests settling the matter by meeting him. He decides to approach Anurag after Yash’s wedding. Nandini taunts him for underestimating Anurag, but Shashwat insists she should withdraw the case. When Nandini asks if that means he has accepted defeat, Shashwat assures her that he will deal with Anurag—just not before the marriage celebrations are over.
Later, Pihu returns from shopping and tells Ishani that she wants to see what Ishani has received from others. Ishani replies that she already owns many sarees and feels it’s not her age to dress up in new ones. Pihu shows her the saree she bought, and Ishani remarks that it would look beautiful on Pihu. To her surprise, Pihu reveals she actually bought it for Ishani. When Ishani asks how she managed the money, Pihu says she used her pocket savings. She asks if she cannot even gift something to her. Touched, Ishani accepts the saree.
Pihu then opens up about her fears, saying she doesn’t think she will get married since Anurag himself seems unsure. She admits she doesn’t understand why he rejected her. Ishani recalls Anurag confessing that he still loves her and that no one else can ever take her place. Pihu notices Ishani’s reaction and questions why she dislikes Anurag so much, saying her face turns pale whenever his name comes up. Ishani denies it, but Pihu suspects she is hiding something. She assures Ishani that she will understand if she tells the truth and insists her love for Anurag only keeps growing stronger, which is why she wants to know why Ishani opposes their relationship.
Ishani advises Pihu to find someone her own age, reminding her that Anurag has already rejected her. But Pihu argues that her feelings will not change because of that. She believes Anurag loves her too, but is holding back due to society and Shashwat’s pressure. Pihu insists she is the perfect match for him, with no shortcomings, and questions why Anurag is still waiting for someone else when there is no future with that person.
