The episode opens with Parashar asking Jhanak if she’s studying well. Jhanak proudly tells him that she topped her class and pleads with him to stay a few more days. Parashar explains that he has responsibilities and must return to complete his work, which is why he stays away from the village. As a gesture of affection, he buys jalebis for her.
Meanwhile, Bua snatches the money Nutan earned by selling baskets and scolds her for being inattentive to work. She harshly accuses Nutan of being characterless and says she doesn’t deserve to live. Nutan, weary of the insults, says she’s tired of hearing such things. Parashar arrives and sarcastically taunts Bua. Bua remarks that Parashar always defends Nutan. Parashar responds that Bua never understood how important Nutan is to him.
Bua claims she manages the entire household while Nutan does nothing. She dismisses the value of education, pointing out that Jhanak is always studying, then walks away. Nutan urges Parashar to settle in the village permanently. Parashar questions who would marry him now and says he only wants her. Nutan replies that she always prays for his safety. Parashar then says he knows Aniruddh is the best match for her and asks her to prepare more food. Nutan agrees and leaves.
Elsewhere, Rishi worries that Aditi is upset with him and wonders if they’ll meet again. He’s also unsure if Parashar managed to escape. Just then, Parashar arrives and asks if Rishi is comfortable. Rishi says he had no choice. Parashar accuses him of coming to spy, implying that city people exploit villagers. Rishi denies the accusation, saying he didn’t come for that. Parashar sarcastically asks if Rishi came to support him. Rishi replies that he can’t, because he hasn’t suffered like Parashar. He reveals his identity as a police officer and shows his ID. Parashar draws his gun, but Rishi tells him killing him won’t win the battle.
At the same time, DG Ghosh informs Inspector Roy that Parashar is hiding in Simulbuni. Inspector Roy heads there with his team.
In the city, Arshi asks Aditi why she’s not eating. Aditi says she isn’t hungry and asks if Arshi spoke to Rishi. Anjana remarks that it seems Aditi misses him. Arshi is upset by Aditi’s behavior. Aniruddh brings up what Aditi said to Rishi’s family, and Aditi questions Arshi about it. Aniruddh claims Arshi doesn’t understand the bond of a joint family. Arshi says she never liked the alliance but accepted it for Rishi’s sake, as he’s a good person. She questions what was so wrong in what she said. Aditi wonders if Rishi’s family was hurt. Arshi asks Aditi not to involve her in Rishi’s family matters. She says she gave up her career for Aditi and this household and insists she only wants what’s best for her daughter. Feeling misunderstood by Aniruddh, she tells Aditi to make her own decisions. Aditi asks her to calm down, but Arshi says she’s hurt, not angry, and leaves.
Meanwhile, Ishani’s husband comforts her, saying she shouldn’t be upset by Pihu’s words. He explains that Pihu is struggling to cope with her mother’s loss. Ishani questions why he remarried without his children’s consent. He encourages her to win their hearts, expressing confidence that she’ll succeed. He invites her to talk, but she says she feels sleepy. He mentions reading her diary and notes that it doesn’t reflect reality. Ishani shares concerns about Pihu’s recent behavior. He advises her not to overthink—partying isn’t inherently wrong—and suggests she act more like a friend than a mother. Just then, they get a call from the police station informing them that Pihu was found creating a disturbance with her friends while intoxicated.
Later, Jhanak knocks on Parashar’s door. He quickly hides the gun before opening it. Jhanak invites them to eat. Rishi declines, but Parashar urges him not to waste food. Parashar questions why he should trust a police officer. At that moment, Jhanak realizes Rishi’s true identity.
