Jhanak Today Episode 17 June 2025
The episode opens with Rishi advising Jhanak to study well so she can secure admission to a good college in Kolkata. Jhanak expresses concern, saying she doesn’t know anyone in Kolkata. Rishi assures her that he will give her his address, and she can contact him once she arrives there.
Curious, Jhanak asks about his family, and Rishi tells her about them. When she inquires about his wife, Rishi reveals that he’s unmarried. Jhanak jokingly tells him to invite her to his wedding. Rishi replies that he’s getting married in three weeks, to which Jhanak remarks that her results won’t be out by then.
Rishi says that might change if the village deity wills it. Jhanak warns him not to joke about the deity, or he might get cursed. She teases that he might end up having to take her home and let her stay there. Rishi shares that his future wife is a college professor who could help Jhanak with her studies. Jhanak asks if Aditi is strict, and Rishi replies, “Aditi is sweet.” He then stumbles, nearly falling, but Jhanak supports him and helps him walk. Later, she plays with goats while Rishi clicks her pictures.
Rani invites Jhanak to join them at the river, but Bua insists she should go home. When Rani questions why, Bua curtly tells her not to interfere in family matters and walks away. Meanwhile, Sakhi invites Nutan to the river. Nutan declines, saying Sakhi knows how people gossip about her. Sakhi urges her not to worry, mentioning that Mangal and Pool’s marriage announcement is happening today. Nutan remembers her own marriage with Aniruddh and admits she always thinks of him whenever marriage is mentioned.
Elsewhere, Jhanak playfully teases Mangal and Pool. Nutan arrives and warmly invites Rishi to stay for lunch. Bua silently suspects Nutan of using Rishi for Jhanak’s benefit. As Mangal and Pool exchange garlands, Rishi captures the moment in photos. Jhanak comments that if the family has any objections, they should speak now—otherwise, they’ll have to pay a fine. Rishi asks what happens if either side refuses to pay. Nutan answers that in that case, the marriage proceeds regardless.
Meanwhile, Putul’s father prepares the guest list for the ceremony. When Tanushree suggests inviting Nilanchan, he refuses. Shurjeet points out that Nilanchan is Rishi’s elder brother, but Indumati reminds everyone that her son had betrayed them.
At another location, Ishani is lost in thought as she prepares the meal. She asks Raj to serve the food, but he refuses. Pralay tells her to bring the food, and Ishani places it on the dining table. Jeet invites her to join them, but she nervously declines. Jeet says she looks familiar and asks if she’s from Simulbuni or a nearby village. Pralay confirms that Ishani’s village is close to Simulbuni. Jeet says that his village is nearby too and insists he’s seen her before. Ishani denies it, saying he must be mistaken. Jeet suggests she might have forgotten about the village fair. Ishani says she’s only been to her village a few times. Still, Jeet insists he remembers her because her face hasn’t changed.
Pralay remarks at the coincidence. Jeet invites him to visit his village farmhouse and begins recounting a story—implied to be about him and Ishani—without naming names. He tells Ishani she should remember it, but she pretends not to. Pihu comments that if the girl’s husband finds out the truth, he’ll throw her out. Ishani, overwhelmed, drops a bowl of food. Everyone scolds her, but Jeet intervenes and tells them not to. Ishani, in turmoil, wonders why God is punishing her and realizes Jeet’s intentions.
Later, Rishi compliments the food and asks Nutan why she prepared so much. She urges him to eat, and he praises the taste. Nutan tells him Jhanak will take him to the lodge afterward. Jhanak asks Rishi to visit the village again, next time with his wife. Rishi tells her to call him if she ever needs help. Nutan then asks if he knows Bhavanipur. Rishi replies that his in-laws live there. Both Rishi and Jhanak are left wondering if Nutan’s husband might also be from Bhavanipur.
