The episode begins with Rishi advising Jhanak to study hard so she can secure a seat in a good college in Kolkata. Jhanak says she doesn’t know anyone in Kolkata. Rishi tells her she can contact him after reaching there and offers to give her his address.
Jhanak then asks about his family, and Rishi shares some details. When she inquires if he is married, Rishi replies that he is not. Jhanak jokingly asks him to invite her to his wedding. Rishi tells her the wedding is in three weeks. Jhanak responds that her results won’t be out by then.
Rishi says if the village deity wills it, anything is possible. Jhanak quickly warns him not to speak lightly about the deity or he might be cursed. She teases that he may end up taking her to his home and letting her stay there. Rishi says his future wife is a college professor who can help Jhanak with her studies. When Jhanak asks if Aditi is strict, Rishi says she’s actually very sweet. As Rishi struggles to walk and nearly falls, Jhanak supports him. Later, she plays with goats while Rishi takes her pictures.
Meanwhile, Rani invites Jhanak to join them at the river, but Bua tells her to go home. Rani questions Bua’s decision, but Bua sternly says not to interfere in family matters and walks away.
Elsewhere, Sakhi asks Nutan to accompany her to the river. Nutan declines, saying Sakhi knows how people gossip about her. Sakhi tells her not to care about what others say and mentions that Mangal and Pool’s marriage will be announced today. Hearing this, Nutan reminisces about her own marriage with Aniruddh and admits that talk of weddings always reminds her of him.
Back at the event, Jhanak teases Mangal and Pool. Nutan arrives and invites Rishi for lunch. Bua suspects Nutan is trying to use Rishi to support Jhanak. During the ceremony, Mangal and Pool exchange garlands, and Rishi photographs the moment. Jhanak comments that if any family members object to the marriage, they should speak now—otherwise, they should pay a penalty for objecting later. Rishi asks what happens if the bride’s or groom’s family refuses to accept the penalty. Nutan replies that in that case, the marriage would proceed regardless.
At another house, Putul’s father says he’s finalized the guest list. When Tanushree asks if Nilanchan can be invited, he refuses. Shurjeet points out that Nilanchan is Rishi’s elder brother. Indumati reminds everyone that Nilanchan betrayed the family.
Elsewhere, Ishani reflects on her past. She tells Raj she’s done all the preparations and asks him to serve food today. Raj refuses. Pralay asks Ishani to bring the food, and she sets it on the dining table. Jeet invites her to eat with them, but Ishani nervously declines. Jeet studies her face and says he feels like he has seen her before. He asks if her village is Simulbuni or nearby. Pralay confirms that Ishani’s village is near Simulbuni. Jeet says his village is nearby too. Ishani denies any connection and insists he’s mistaken. But Jeet says he remembers seeing her during a village fair—he’s certain because her face hasn’t changed.
Pralay remarks on the coincidence. Jeet invites them to visit his farmhouse and shares a story from his past—clearly referencing Ishani but without naming her. He hints that Ishani must remember it. Ishani pretends she doesn’t. Pihu comments that the girl in that story will be abandoned by her husband if he learns the truth. Ishani drops a bowl in shock, and everyone scolds her. Pralay asks what’s wrong with her today, but Jeet tells them not to be harsh. Ishani wonders why God is punishing her and realizes that Jeet knows her secret.
Later, Rishi asks Nutan why she prepared so much food. She urges him to eat, and he compliments the taste. Nutan tells him that Jhanak will take him to the lodge. Jhanak invites Rishi to visit the village again, this time with his wife. Rishi tells her to contact him if she ever needs help. Nutan asks if he knows Bhavanipur. Rishi says that his in-laws live there. This leads Rishi and Jhanak to wonder if Nutan’s husband also resides in Bhavanipur.
