The episode opens with Jhanak declaring that, for her villagers, she is Rishi’s wife, which is why she dressed like a married woman. She explains that she applied vermilion in his name, but insists that he does not deserve to be her husband. She reminds Rishi that she too was forced into this marriage and questions why he always blames her alone. Before leaving with her bag, she tells him again that he is unworthy of her. Putul quietly follows her.
Aditi then breaks the silence, asking why no one is speaking. Indumati tells her that since they are in the hospital, they must avoid risking Dadabhai’s health, and makes it clear that they are not siding with Jhanak. Aditi points out to Rishi that Jhanak is still applying vermilion in his name. Rishi, helpless, asks what he can do about it. Aditi angrily demands to know why he even called her there if he knew Jhanak was present. Upset, she storms out, with Rishi following behind.
Outside the hospital, Rishi pleads with Aditi to listen. He suggests leaving the city together, but Aditi refuses, asking why she should sacrifice her career and lifestyle because of Jhanak. She says he should have called her to Simulboni when the villagers forced him into marriage. She insists she cannot tolerate further humiliation. Rishi tries to reassure her, saying she knows how deeply he loves her, and explains that the villagers had taken his phone, so he had no choice. He begs her not to think he married Jhanak willingly, but Aditi tells him to stop trying to make her feel guilty.
Rishi then says he will stay away from her if that’s what she wants. Aditi tells him that won’t change anything. He explains he didn’t know Dadabhai wanted to meet Jhanak. Aditi reminds him that Dadabhai has already accepted Jhanak as his daughter-in-law. Rishi insists that Aditi is the one who matters most to him, and he is even willing to leave his family for her. He says he would rather live alone if she doesn’t support him, because to him, Jhanak is not his wife.
Aditi argues there’s no guarantee Jhanak won’t follow them if they move. Feeling broken, Rishi admits he doesn’t deserve anyone since he is a liar and characterless, and threatens to disappear from her life. Aditi stops him, saying the problem is that she can’t behave normally anymore. She finally agrees to go with him to a psychiatrist. Rishi reassures her that everything will be fine and asks if she truly loves him. Aditi nods, and the two share a hug.
Meanwhile, Putul tells Jhanak not to inform Dadabhai about everything. Jhanak agrees, saying it’s better not to. She decides instead to speak with Nutan. Putul advises her not to take Rishi’s harsh words seriously, but Jhanak replies that his words no longer affect her. When Putul asks if Rishi is really not special to her, Jhanak firmly says no—why would he be? Putul reminds her that he is her husband, but Jhanak insists that Rishi means nothing to her. She refuses to accept him as her husband and wishes only that he marries Aditi.
