The episode begins with Ujjaini telling Shisho that she will never accept it if Nayanika and Ishaan’s relationship becomes anything more than friendship. She admits that Shisho may think she is a bad person for saying so. Shisho asks her to focus only on Nayanika’s treatment and believes Mumbai is the best place for it.
Meanwhile, Angana questions Neil about returning home late. Indrani asks him what happened after he took leave. Neil reveals that he had gone to Nayanika’s hospital to speak with Subhash about her treatment. Indrani says Nayanika will never accept his help and will eventually go to Mumbai for treatment. Neil insists that he will speak to Nayanika personally. Jaya advises him to talk to her alone, and Neil agrees before going inside.
Elsewhere, Ishaan asks Nayanika whether Ujjaini will allow her to travel to Mumbai. Nayanika replies that she cannot go if Ujjaini is against it. Ishaan tells her to think about herself first. Nayanika then informs him that she is going to Rohan’s birthday party. Ishaan wonders whether she is comfortable attending the celebration and says she should accept Neil’s help for her treatment. Nayanika notices that Ishaan is upset.
Later, Angana asks Rohan to cut his birthday cake. However, Rohan refuses, saying he will wait until Nayanika arrives. He also notices that Ujjaini has not come yet.
Soon, Nayanika reaches the party. Indrani says she should have arrived earlier, but Nayanika explains that she was coming from the hospital. She asks Rohan to cut the cake. Rohan first takes photos with his parents before posing for a picture with Nayanika.
At the same time, Malini tells her family that they should attend Rohan’s birthday party for Nayanika’s sake. Subhoo says he also wants to discuss Nayanika’s treatment with her. Madhavi admits she cannot enjoy the celebration while Nayanika is unwell. This leads to an argument between Malini and Madhavi. Eventually, Malini leaves for the party with Subhoo and Gabloo.
At the party, Indrani welcomes Malini and Subhoo and wonders why Madhavi did not come. Subhoo explains that Madhavi is not in the mood to attend.
Rohan then asks Nayanika to sing a song as his birthday gift. Angana tries to stop him, reminding him that Nayanika is not well. However, Nayanika asks Rohan to cut the cake first. When he refuses, she sings for him. Neil joins her, and everyone applauds their performance. Rohan happily hugs Neil before cutting the cake and feeding everyone. He also thanks Nayanika for coming.
Later, Neil asks Nayanika to come inside so they can talk privately. Before she leaves, Subhoo tells her that he will come the next day to take her home because Madhavi wants her to stay with them for a few days. Indrani says he should first seek her permission, but Subhoo replies that it isn’t necessary.
As Neil and Nayanika go inside, some of the guests begin gossiping about their growing closeness. Angana overhears their conversation.
In private, Neil asks Nayanika to let him supervise her treatment. Nayanika firmly reminds him that she is no longer his patient. Neil replies that she is still the mother of his daughter. However, Nayanika refuses to accept any help or support from him.
Just then, Angana enters the room and tells Neil that the guests are waiting for him.
