The episode opens with Ram suggesting to Dil that they search for Nandini aunty on the other side of the Sarayu River. Dil agrees, and despite the police’s advice, the two set off together. Meanwhile, Chandan reflects silently, “Forgive me, Raghav… I lied to protect you. If I had told the truth, I might have lost you.”
As Dil and Ram continue their search, the police intercept them. Just then, the inspector receives a call and informs Dil, “Your mother has been found. She’s safe and staying with your maami. You can go home now.” Overjoyed, Dil picks flowers for her parents during the ride home. One flower slips from her hand and lands in Raghav’s lap as Chandan, driving on the same road, passes by. The police arrange an auto to send Dil and Ram back home.
Elsewhere, Natasha calls her mother, who anxiously asks, “Did anyone see you near the accident site?” Natasha replies, “No, I’m already at the airport.” Her mother urges her to cancel her ticket and rebook an earlier flight. Just then, the event organizer calls to report that Raghav left mid-performance, resulting in a ₹10 crore loss. Furious, Natasha’s mother swears to make Raghav pay.
Back at home, Ram sees a crowd gathered outside and tells Dil. Dil assumes her father has returned and her mother is hosting a celebration. Smiling, she distributes flowers and enters the house with her eyes closed. When she asks if she can open them, Ram hesitates. She opens her eyes—only to be devastated by the sight of Nandini’s garlanded photo. The atmosphere is filled with grief.
Meanwhile, Natasha arrives home visibly shaken. Her mother pulls her into a room and silences her in front of others. In tears, Natasha confesses, “I killed someone.” Her mother insists she must erase the memory and act like nothing happened.
Later, Dil asks Lata about her mother. Lata, heartbroken, tells her that Nandini drowned in the river and won’t return. Dil collapses in grief. She gazes at the stars drawn on her hand and then up at the sky, spotting two stars near the moon. With hope, she whispers, “My mom is alive.” Lata gently tries to explain that the search operation confirmed Nandini’s death, but Dil refuses to accept it. She insists, “Don’t cry… My mom isn’t dead.”
Chandan’s wife questions him about Raghav leaving the concert halfway. Chandan admits, “I regret sending him. He’s drowning in grief.” Meanwhile, Natasha’s mother warns her to behave normally or risk exposure. Chandan later confesses, “I carry the burden of hiding the truth from Raghav. I want him to believe that Nandini is happy somewhere.”
Back at home, Dil tells Lata, “Mom said when two stars shine near the moon, it means both my parents are alive.” Lata replies, “Your mother is always with you… but she can’t return.” Still, Dil insists, “She drew these stars on my hand. She’s with me.” When Lata pleads with her to accept the truth, Dil retorts, “If you keep saying that, I won’t speak to you.”
Lata then asks the neighbors to help convince Dil. But Dil refuses to listen to anyone. Determined, she decides to search for her mother herself. Lata’s husband urges her to accept reality, but Dil questions her maama directly, “Did you actually see my mother die?” He flashes back to the accident—remembering Nandini begging for help while he stood by and let her be swept away by the river.
Some neighbors begin to suspect Dil might be right and suggest filing a missing person’s report. But Maama firmly refuses, and Dil notices his reluctance. That night, after Lata puts Dil to sleep and leaves the room, Maama quietly enters with dark intent—planning to silence Dil forever.
