The episode begins with Raj didi questioning Ishani about what she hopes to achieve through studies. Ishani replies that education gives freedom—the ability to live life on one’s own terms. Raj didi argues that Ishani is already a rich businessman’s wife, enjoying every comfort. But Ishani explains that even a bird in a golden cage longs to fly. Raj didi admits Ishani speaks well.
At college, Anurag asks Pihu about Ishani and whether she passed on her notes. Irritated, Pihu asks why he always talks about Ishani. Anurag gently tells her to calm down, reminding her that Ishani is also his student. Pihu apologizes, then curiously asks if one can ever truly forget their lover. Anurag admits he cannot explain why he loves his beloved so deeply, but he knows he can never forget her. Hearing this, Pihu silently hopes Anurag will one day accept her.
The next morning, Raj didi asks Ishani if Yash’s food is ready. Ishani places the plate on the table and says she has prepared everything for the ritual but stayed away from the hall because she knows Yash may not like her presence. Raj didi nods and leaves. Just then, Nandini arrives, insisting she will serve Yash instead. Ishani calmly replies that she expected Nandini to say that.
Nandini warns Ishani not to create drama. Ishani retorts that she has done nothing wrong and suggests Nandini should have been helping in the kitchen rather than gossiping. Offended, Nandini asks her not to cross limits. Ishani firmly reminds her that this is her house, and as Yash’s stepmother she holds a rightful place here, whereas Nandini is only a guest. She demands that Nandini not try to teach her about limits.
Shashwat arrives, saying Yash and the guests are waiting. Nandini immediately complains that Ishani was lecturing her. Ishani replies that she simply gave Nandini a fitting answer and makes it clear she will not tolerate insult or disrespect. Shashwat asks her to let the matter rest, but Ishani says she will remain quiet only if she is treated with respect by everyone—including Nandini. Nandini angrily asks why she should endure all this.
Shashwat steps in and declares that this is his house and his rules will be followed. If anyone has a problem, they are free to leave. Ishani boldly reminds him that their marriage is legal, and if he wants her gone, he must remove her legally too. Shashwat, mindful of the guests, holds back and says nothing more. Ishani then questions Nandini, asking if she intends to stay until Shashwat himself leaves, and points out that Nandini doesn’t respect the privacy of a husband and wife. Nandini, furious, tells her to stop. Shashwat calms Nandini, asking her not to ruin her mood, and leads her away with a smile.
The Aiburobhat ritual begins. Pihu marvels at the huge variety of food. Yash cheerfully declares he can eat it all and starts enjoying the dishes. He compliments Nandini, saying the food tastes delicious. Watching everything quietly from upstairs, Ishani observes the scene.
