The episode opens with Jhanak seeking Parashar’s blessings before leaving. Parashar offers to accompany her, but Jhanak insists he stay home and rest since he has a fever. She happily informs him that she has secured a medical seat and will stay at the college hostel. Parashar asks her to take Mangal along, but Sakhi volunteers to go with her instead. Parashar hands some money to Jhanak, while Mangal gives her a letter and some cash sent by her teacher. Jhanak promises to repay their kindness once she becomes a doctor, while Sakhi mentions that the teacher knew she needed money for the application.
Parashar reminds Jhanak that Nutan’s blessings are always with her, though he regrets not being able to support her financially. Jhanak reassures him not to worry and promises to make him proud. Parashar urges her to focus on her studies and stay in touch. Jhanak confidently declares she will return as a doctor. Sakhi adds that Nutan would have been delighted to see this moment. Parashar advises her to take care of herself and instructs Mangal to look after things in Kolkata. As they leave for the bus stand, Kanka silently worries that Jhanak might face the same betrayal Nutan once did.
Meanwhile, Tanushri questions Rishi about his continued concern for Jhanak. She admits that she now believes Jhanak wasn’t at fault but insists that Rishi’s responsibility is towards Aditi, not Jhanak. She makes it clear she wants Jhanak to succeed but away from their lives. Rishi agrees but appears conflicted. When Tanushri asks if he would still take Jhanak’s responsibility if she wanted it, Rishi replies that he wouldn’t interfere unless Jhanak herself seeks his help.
Later, Indumati pleads with Aditi not to leave the house. However, Tanushri insists that Rishi is to blame for the situation. Aditi angrily questions how she can live with a man who constantly thinks about Jhanak, accusing him of emotional betrayal. Rishi tries to calm her, saying she misunderstood his intentions.
Dadabhai intervenes, asking Aditi if she truly wants to end her relationship with Rishi. Aditi nods, saying Dadabhai must be pleased. Dadabhai, however, reminds her that Rishi married her out of love. Rishi agrees and admits his mistakes, but says Aditi refuses to understand him. Putul accuses Rishi of being drawn to Jhanak again since her NEET results are out. Rishi wonders where Jhanak got admission, but Surjeet and Tanushri urge him to focus on his marriage and career.
Tanushri firmly warns Rishi not to meet or support Jhanak anymore, as it would only hurt Aditi. Aditi then claims that many people are trying to ruin their marriage, implying Jhanak’s involvement. Dadabhai defends Jhanak, saying she left the house to protect their relationship. Aditi, however, accuses Jhanak of pretending to be virtuous.
Putul defends her sister, saying Jhanak could have refused to sign papers if she wanted to create trouble. Indumati asks her to stop arguing, and Tanushri remarks that they have already done enough for Jhanak. Dadabhai sarcastically reminds them that they never truly let Jhanak live peacefully.
Rishi finally admits that he was forced to marry Jhanak, but that marriage has no meaning now. He explains he only attended Jhanak’s felicitation ceremony because her teacher invited him, not for personal reasons. He assures Aditi that their relationship shouldn’t weaken because of misunderstandings.
However, Aditi feels betrayed and questions why Rishi still compares her with Jhanak. Rishi insists he values their marriage and doesn’t want to lose her, but Aditi accuses him of hiding things about Jhanak. Rishi asks her to stop overthinking, reaffirming that he knows his responsibilities as a husband.
When Aditi challenges him, saying he’ll keep meeting Jhanak under the excuse of helping her, Rishi confesses that he can’t ignore Jhanak’s past kindness and will continue to support her when needed. Aditi retorts sharply that she will help Jhanak in the future—not Rishi.
