The episode begins with Karthik telling Gayatri that his child will soon arrive and he will fulfill all her wishes. Gayatri beams with joy and tells her husband that very soon Karthik’s child will be playing in their home. But Karthik clarifies that it will be his and Lakshmi’s baby. Shocked, Gayatri questions him, reminding him that he had agreed to a second marriage.
Karthik firmly declares that Lakshmi is his wife for seven lifetimes. He reminds Gayatri that Lakshmi once risked her life to save her and stood by him in his darkest times, so he will never abandon Lakshmi over a minor complication. He assures Gayatri that her dream will still come true. Gayatri argues that Lakshmi cannot conceive, but Karthik explains that there are other ways—revealing that the doctor has suggested surrogacy. He informs everyone that they have already found a surrogate. Turning to Lakshmi, he asks if she is ready. Lakshmi, overjoyed, agrees, saying she can do anything for this happiness. Karthik announces that the IVF procedure is scheduled for tomorrow and asks everyone to pray. Umesh supports him, Lakshmi thanks him gratefully, while Gayatri looks displeased.
At the hospital, Karthik and Lakshmi wait for Dr. Dakshit. A nurse informs them that he met with an accident and Dr. Panwar will now handle their case. Lakshmi grows anxious, but Karthik consoles her. Just then, Sanchi arrives and declares she will be their surrogate. Lakshmi thanks her for the support.
However, a blunder occurs when the doctor mistakenly performs the procedure in the wrong room. Later, the doctor tells Karthik and Lakshmi that in two weeks they will hear good news, leaving them overjoyed. But Sanchi interrupts, insisting the procedure never happened. Confused, the doctor checks and realizes her mistake—both rooms carried the number 9, and she accidentally conducted the procedure in room 6. To make matters worse, the patient has already left. Furious, Karthik blasts her for her carelessness. The nurse explains that the girl had given no proper details, was uneducated, and appeared to be a Rajasthani girl. The doctor apologizes and promises to set things right.
Back home, Gayatri lashes out at Karthik, saying surrogacy is wrong and what happened at the hospital was utter madness. Karthik blames the doctor, but Gayatri places the fault on Lakshmi. Deeply hurt, Lakshmi leaves in tears. Karthik worries that if the Rajasthani girl conceives, it will create huge problems.
Days later, Karthik tries to cheer up Lakshmi, but she anxiously asks if he has found the Rajasthani girl. She worries that they don’t even know if she is carrying their child. Just then, the doorbell rings. Two Rajasthani women enter. When Karthik asks who they are, one woman lifts her veil and accuses him of ruining her daughter’s life. Shocked, Lakshmi questions her. The woman reveals that her daughter had gone to the hospital for a routine check-up, but has now ended up pregnant—with Karthik and Lakshmi’s baby. Karthik and Lakshmi are left stunned.
