The episode begins with Digvijay showing Shristi, Vani, and Dev pictures of destination wedding venues. While scrolling through the photos, he accidentally reveals an image of the art café. Dev immediately recognizes it as the same café where he regained his memories with Vani. Curious, Shristi asks Digvijay why he has a picture of the café. Vani explains that she had sent it to him because she wanted to recreate a special memory with Dev. Shristi realizes that this happened on the same day Digvijay was with her. She questions him about why he claimed he was helping Vani. Vani admits that she had asked Digvijay not to reveal the truth to anyone. Shristi tells Vani that she has no right to ask Digvijay to keep secrets from her and adds that people usually hide things only when they know they are wrong. Dev immediately defends Vani, telling Shristi that she has no right to speak to her that way. Shristi responds that Vani is capable of fighting her own battles and does not need Dev to defend her. Dev replies that Vani has always been alone and has been fighting her own battles all along. Hurt by the confrontation, Vani walks away in tears. Dev then tells Shristi that instead of questioning Vani, she should have questioned Digvijay about whether he already knew about his and Vani’s love story before getting involved with her. With that, Dev leaves.
Later, Dev finds Vani sitting alone, eating paneer biryani through her tears. He comforts her, saying that Shristi had no right to treat her that way. Vani asks why he stood up for her, and Dev replies that he cannot tolerate anyone disrespecting her. Touched by his concern, Vani thanks him. As his supervisor, she then grants him permission to appear for his examination, and the two share an emotional moment.
Meanwhile, Shristi confronts Digvijay about hiding the truth from her. Digvijay explains that he believed Dev was coming between them and hoped that if Dev regained his memories, he would remember his love for Vani and stop interfering in their lives. Their conversation is interrupted when Digvijay notices Jia.
Digvijay asks Jia to keep Shristi company while he goes to the washroom. Jia requests Shristi to prepare kebabs for her. Although Shristi remembers Vani advising her not to enter the kitchen, she eventually agrees after Jia insists.
As Jia drinks water, Vani and Dev arrive. Dev asks Jia if Shristi has gone to sleep, but Jia tells him that she is in the kitchen preparing kebabs. While cooking, Shristi recalls Dev defending Vani earlier, leaving her emotionally disturbed. Lost in thought, she accidentally touches a hot pan and burns her hand without realizing it. At the same time, Digvijay returns and asks Jia where Shristi is. Jia tells him that she is in the kitchen. Moments later, smoke from the burnt kebabs triggers the fire alarm. Feeling dizzy, Shristi is about to collapse when Dev and the others rush in and catch her in time. Shocked, Jia wonders how her mother could burn her hand without even noticing the heat. They immediately rush Shristi to the hospital.
At the hospital, Jia asks Digvijay what happened to her mother. He explains that Shristi has peripheral neuropathy. Jia asks if that means her mother has lost sensation, and Digvijay confirms it before explaining everything that happened. Upset, Jia questions why they kept the truth from her, pointing out that she is also becoming a doctor and deserved to know. Digvijay replies that Shristi herself did not want her to be told.
The doctors decide to begin immunosuppressant treatment for Shristi. Just then, Dev notices movement in her hand. As Jia prays for her mother’s recovery, the interns and hospital staff join her in prayer. Dev asks Shristi if she can feel his touch, and she says yes. However, when he touches other parts of her body, she says she cannot feel them. Based on this, Dev concludes that Shristi is not suffering from peripheral neuropathy and immediately stops the medication despite the objections of the other doctors. Sunny warns him that he is putting Shristi’s life at risk. Dev declares that, as Shristi’s ex-husband, he is taking full responsibility for stopping the treatment. Furious, Sunny orders the ward boys to remove Dev from the room. Even as they drag him away, Dev repeatedly warns them not to administer steroids, insisting that they could be dangerous for Shristi. However, his warnings are ignored, and the doctors proceed with the medication.
