The episode begins with Dil returning home. Lata, visibly worried, questions her about leaving without informing anyone. Dil reassures her that she’s fine and says nothing happened. She then reveals that she had gone in search of Nandini. Dil shares that Babaji told her that to find her mother, she must first find her father. Ram also advised her to speak to the elders. With hope in her eyes, Dil asks Lata to tell her who her father is.
Lata remembers how Nandini once said she wanted to tell Raghav about Dil but later changed her mind, believing he wasn’t worthy of knowing. Nandini had made Lata promise never to reveal the truth about Raghav to Dil. Struggling with her promise, Lata apologizes and tells Dil that she doesn’t know who her father is. Heartbroken, Dil walks away in disappointment.
Elsewhere, Natasha confronts Raghav about Nandini. She asks why, if he loved Nandini so much, he ended up marrying her instead. Raghav coldly tells Natasha to ask her mother and dismisses her.
Overwhelmed, Dil confides her sadness to Ram and his friend. Later, she comes up with an idea. With her friends’ help, she sketches a picture of her mother and puts up posters around the town, hoping someone will recognize her. Her uncle spots one of the posters.
Dil also recalls a memory of hiding in a cupboard from her mother. Believing she might find a clue, she checks inside the cupboard again. Just then, her uncle walks in and accidentally falls. Dil asks what he’s doing. When she tells him she’s looking for information about her father, he says he knows who her father is—on one condition. He makes her swear on her mother that she won’t tell anyone what he reveals. Dil agrees.
He then tells her that he knows someone who can help her meet her father and promises to take her there. Dil, eager and hopeful, agrees to go with him.
Meanwhile, Raghav is seen holding Nandini’s book, lost in her memories. His mother observes him and expresses guilt over separating them. Raghav responds with quiet pain, saying he only wished their dreams had been aligned.
In another part of town, Nandini’s last rites are being performed. A tearful Dil prays for her mother to return. Lata, worried for Dil’s emotional state, asks her daughter to cheer Dil up. But Dil refuses to play and isolates herself. Lata tells her to do whatever brings her peace. Dil tells Meethi that she’s going to meet Maama.
She then asks her Maama when he’ll introduce her to the Chacha he mentioned. He assures her that it will happen that night, but warns her not to tell anyone. Dil nods and leaves.
Later, Maama is overheard talking on the phone about a shady deal. Lata, concerned, secretly listens in. As she tries to sneak away, she knocks over a vase. Maama catches her and warns her not to interfere—or she might end up like Nandini. His threat leaves her shaken.
Determined to protect Dil, Lata calls her relatives to ask if they can keep Dil for a few days. Sadly, none of them agree to help.
That night, Dil clutches Nandini’s photo and gazes up at the stars, asking where her mother is. With her mother’s dupatta wrapped around her, she breaks down in tears, longing for Nandini’s presence.
