The episode begins with Lata and Dil seated in a bus bound for Mumbai. Lata asks the conductor when the bus will depart, and he replies that five more passengers are yet to board. Lata then turns to Dil and reminds her that, no matter what happens, she must never reveal her true identity for her own safety—even if she has to travel to Mumbai alone. Lata warns her never to return to Raunakpur, stressing that her uncle is dangerous. When Dil hesitates, asking how she’ll manage on her own, Lata encourages her to be brave and makes her promise to keep her identity a secret. Lata then deliberately moves to sit separately from Dil.
Meanwhile, Maama hears a cat meowing and boards the Mumbai-bound bus in search of Dil. Just then, the cat escapes, prompting Dil to follow it off the bus.
At Raghav’s house, his sister arrives and complains to their mother about Raghav’s reckless driving. Raghav’s sister-in-law adds that Natasha is turning Shanaya against him. The family expresses concern for Raghav and his well-being.
Back at the bus, Maama confronts Lata and demands to know where Dil is. The other passengers intervene, telling Maama not to harass a woman. He explains that he’s looking for his niece. One of the passengers mentions seeing a girl get off the bus with a cat. The crowd insists Maama take the matter outside. Before leaving, he again presses Lata to reveal Dil’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Dil catches up with her cat and unknowingly boards another bus. Lata sees her from a distance and silently prays for her safety. Maama also spots Dil and recognizes her by Nandini’s dupatta. He chases the bus but fails to catch it. Inside, Dil tells the conductor that her aunt isn’t on board. He replies that the bus can’t stop now but assures her that her aunt will come on the next one, so she shouldn’t worry.
At home, Raghav’s mother advises him to drive more carefully. Raghav replies that Shanaya’s tears affect him more than any accident ever could. His mother gently tells him to reassure his daughter so that she feels safe and happy.
On the bus, Dil reflects on how her mother used to scold her for singing. She begins to sing softly, filled with sadness. At the same time, Raghav is lost in his own thoughts, recalling that Nandini is no longer part of his life—only her memory, preserved in the book she left behind.
Bindu comes to cheer Raghav up, mimicking Padmini in a humorous way. Raghav remarks that she’s carefree because she’s never truly been in love. Elsewhere, Natasha remembers Minni’s warning and angrily mutters, “I hate you, Raghav.” Her nervousness increases when the police stop her car, fearing someone may have seen her at the scene of the accident.
On the bus, Dil imagines a vision of Nandini appearing before her. Dil tells her, “I thought you wouldn’t recognize me now that I look like a boy.” Nandini lovingly replies, “A mother always senses her child’s presence.” She encourages Dil not to be afraid of traveling to Mumbai alone, telling her, “Whenever you’re scared, look up at the stars and find your daughter.” Dil nods as Nandini disappears.
Later, the conductor begins checking tickets. Dil realizes she doesn’t have one. Panicked, she hides inside a large bag with her cat. When the conductor notices the bag and asks whose it is, Dil sits silently inside, fearful of being discovered.
